Highly Skilled, Professional And Humanistic Group

Ron and his staff represented me as a defendant on a CPO case and plaintiff on my divorce case. Both cases were very complex and involved detailed data gathering and in-depth fact collection. Although they are located in Franklin County, they are very knowledgeable of Ohio law and other county cour...t rules. Plainly speaking, they did everything possible to leave no stone un-turned. They stay up-to-date on legal revisions and apply them when other attorneys were not aware of such changes. They are clearly skilled and talented litigators but more importantly they are compassionate. My ordeal has been going on for over 18 months now and has been a very difficult journey. Ron and his staff, particularly Ben Nyhan, have showed concern for my feelings and well being and have showed sincere compassion the entire time. I am grateful for not only their excellent professionalism and high level of legal excellence, but their humanistic approach, empathy and benevolence. Their attention to detail and genuine sympathy for each case make them an excellence choice for representation.

Effective and thorough Family Law attorney

I am current client of Ron Petroff who also retained him in previous post decree family case. At every step I was kept informed of the current status of my case as well as what our next steps were going to be. Ron was thorough and knowledgeable in every aspect of my case and always paid attention ...to the details. I always felt confident that he had my best interest in mind and that I was not just "a case" for him. As stated above I have retained Ron again . Upon receiving a notice that a modification request had been filed I did not hesitate to call Ron and retain him. What stands out to me about Ron is he is straightforward and honest about what is to come in your case. When sending the firm all of my information I had a detailed conversation with them on all necessary steps that would need to be taken. Whenever I have a question an email or phone call has been returned within the day. He filed the initial paperwork within a day of our conversation. I am confident that if this does come before a judge Ron's knowledge of family law will be invaluable my case.

knowledgeable, Thorough and Affordable!

I highly recommend Attorney Ronald Petroff. He is one of the more knowledgeable and well educated attorneys in Central Ohio. He is passionate and reasonable. He is aggressive when he has to be and charming when necessary. If you are going through a divorce, child custody matter, or other family law i...ssues, you should definately consult with Mr. Petroff.

This lawyer was unprofessional and his attention to detail and it seemed that legal knowledge was lacking.

I was referred to Mr. Petroff for a pending divorce through my work. I will be working with them to get him removed from their referral list. At my first meeting, he made claims that I would not owe any child support since me and my wife's incomes were so similar. He failed to tell me I would be s...olely responsible for non-insurance covered medical, extra-curricular activities and college payments. So basically hundreds of dollars a month (or the equivalent of child support). I also asked him if we could cap the non-insurance covered medical payments to protect me in case one of my children had a serious medical issue so I was not the only one paying out of pocket. He replied, "good idea". Are you kidding me? Is that not the first thought that a lawyer should have in this circumstance. Is it the client's responsibility to suggest this??!! He kept going back and forth on what I would owe out of my Scottade account, checking and savings. I didn't know until after the settlement what I still owe. He had the wrong day in the shared parenting plan and then needed to re-negotiate to get agreement on the previously agreed upon days. One of the agreements had "forging" instead of "forgoing" that I also had to point out. I didn't feel he fought hard for my best interests and was definitley not satisfied with the outcome. At the hearing he told the other lawyer he would be working with her to get the remiaining family pictures for me but he never followed up on that even after I emailed him asking the status. Definitely sub par work for expensive price. The list of issues goes on and on. I would definitely look for another divorce attorney outside of him or his firm.
