Skilled, Effective Legal Representation

A prominent Columbus child therapist recommended Joe Nigh to me without hesitation after having seen the negative effect that a difficult divorce and poor outcome had on my children, and how worried he was for them if the looming custody battle ended with another poor outcome. This decades-experienc...ed therapist understood just how important it was to have the right attorney to navigate such delicate, high stakes proceedings effectively. That endorsement held a lot of weight, and scheduling a meeting with Joe proved to be the best decision I had made in two years of litigation up to that point. With Joe and Courtney’s experienced and reassuring guidance, my decisions throughout the custody battle were informed and right for my children, and they skillfully won the outcome that I was looking for and that my children needed. The paralegal and administrative staff are also excellent and contributed in no small part to my great experience with NLG. I highly recommend Nigh Law Group.

Thorough and Dedicated

Joe was referred to me by a lawyer with a different field of expertise. Unfortunately, I experienced a high-conflict divorce and subsequent contentious issues with the finalized separation agreement and shared parenting plan. Joe assisted me with the latter. My case was extremely complicated and invo...lved a great deal of detail. Joe was thorough, and his team included multiple paralegals who were also highly competent (Thank you Lynn and Rachel!) Joe is a no BS, direct attorney who was up front with my magistrate about the issues at hand. He always responded to my emails and cared about my case even after the case concluded. Additionally, he listened to what was most important to me and helped negotiate to that end.

excellent lawyer

Joseph came highly recommended, he handled a custody case for me. He was always available to me and his assistant, Lynn was fantastic also. They told me exactly what to expect and all was handled very professionally. Joe is the standard by which other attorneys should be held!

My case took a lot of unforeseen turns, but Joe and his co-counsel, Erin Sanford, stood by my side through every step. From the very first consultation, Joe gave me such clear insight and advice on how to proceed. I’ve struggled with writing this review, which Joe and the entire team at NLG would g...et a good laugh out of, as I’m rarely at a loss for words… However, I’m unsure how to adequately share all of his exceptional qualities in a few sentences. He sets the bar and is truly the standard by which other attorneys should be held. He is proactive, knowledgeable, honest, prepared, realistic, and truly dedicated to his clients. Although no one can predict the outcome of any custody dispute, you can be confident that Joe will always guide you in the right direction to obtain the best possible outcome for you and your child. NLG’s support staff (Lynn and Zach) are just as impressive as their counsel. Master of his trade

After a cheap attorney botched an easy uncontested divorce hearing, I hired Joeseph Nigh to handle the most important matter of my life - my children. During a very unique and complicated divorce that spanned 3 and a half years (2011 - 2014) I hired Joe to step in to represent me and my children'...s best interest. I read multiple reviews on how prepared and knowledgeable he was, but was still amazed when I saw him in action. He took the time to understand every facet of my case, and calculated every decision meticulously. In the court room nothing throws him off, and his wit is unmatched. If he wasn't immediately available, he was very quick to respond to my seemingly endless inquiries. He never made me feel like I was a burden. I felt like my case was always a priority to him. In other words, I never felt like he was putting my concerns, filings, or otherwise on hold so that he could deal with another client. His knowledge and expertise is unrivaled, and I couldn't imagine a better outcome than the one he helped me obtain; every single thing I asked for. I would highly recommend him to any father going through a divorce where children are involved. As with everything in life - you get what you pay for.
