I hired Matt September 15, 2021 to help me through my divorce. I was a train wreck and had no clue where to even begin. Matt was so sweet and friendly and funny. I spoke with him like I was talking to a friend, he was that easy to get along with. He really eased a lot of my concerns and prepared me f...or the next steps in the divorce process. In the next few months, Matt kept me updated on things, informed me of what the other lawyer was doing, and when I fell apart with emotions, he was quick to give me a tissue and say something to make me laugh. Unfortunately, before my divorce was finalized, my husband took his life. It was then that I saw what kind of man Matt truly was. He handled the situation as smoothly as possible, recommended and helped set me up with an estate lawyer. He made the transition as best as I feel it could be, given the circumstances. What really surprised me was last week, I received a phone call from Matt. It had been four months since my husband's death. He did not want a thing, but to check on me and my kids and ask how things were going. I don't know of many people that have a story or experience like that with their lawyer. He showed me that people really do care and that some lawyers are really interested in not only helping people legally, but ensuring that they are okay after the legal process is over. I would recommend Matt Langhals all day long!

I hired and paid Mr. Langhals for a custody case only to find out that my ex had a consultation with him in the past therefore I couldn't use him due to conflict of interest. He did respond to one of my exes motions and did file something on my behalf. However, I paid 3,500 retainer and he refunded ...it all except 1,200. I questioned why I didn't get the full 3,500 back he responded saying he did file a few things and worked for it and those still stood in court. End of the day it was his responsibility to check his records and see if my ex had consulted him, I kind of assumed this was standard with attorneys. Theres no way possible I'm going to know who my ex has had consultations with. I understand mistakes happen but I feel he should've given me back all my retainer since it was his mistake. Costly yes but should of been a lesson learned for himself.

Matthew represented me during my recent dissolution. He guided me through this painful process with great patience and understanding. He always responded promptly and courteously to my questions even though I am sure he had to answer the same question multiple times. I highly recommend his services.... He is a great person, not just a great attorney.
