Mr Emmons was court appointed to me during a shoplifting charge. Mr Emmons helped to get my charge dismissed. The court date was rescheduled many times and some days I didn’t know if Mr Emmons was working on my case. You have to have faith and give these lawyers a chance especially if they are court app. They have clients besides you and they have families. Put your faith in god and your lawyer. I had lost some of my faith through the numerous court dates but I gave my faith to god and I thank Mr Emmons he even went beyond and told me if any thing else came up or if I needed his help further he was a call away.
Pete and Ann Marie are great. I can’t say enough about how much they’ve helped me. They know the law, and will fight for you. They are also compassionate and easy to work with.
Pete Emmons graduated from Rutgers University School of Law after earning dual Bachelor's degrees in American History and Political Science from Drew University in New Jersey.
A policy and regulatory specialist, Pete's legal career takes him from the Board room to the Court room. Prior to moving to Georgia, Pete represented numerous municipalities in New Jersey, particulary on land use issues, and a multitude of private clients in family, criminal and bankruptcy law.
Early in his legal career Pete decided to specialize in "Family" law, and explained that he wasn't just going to specialize in one particluar area of the law, but would represent his clients and their families throughout their lives in any legal matters they ran into. This practice allows Pete to have a deep understanding of a wide range of law. He is also a firm believer that if he can't help you, he will help you and your family find the right attorney to meet your needs.
Pete was raised on his parent's blueberry farm with four older siblings. He and wife Ann Marie have 6 sons and live in Bainbridge, Georgia.

Glad I hired Mr. Emmons for my custody case
I was taken to court by my ex when he filed papers with the court that accused me of being a bad parent. He was just trying to get out of his child support payments. We went all the way to trial and Mr. Emmons showed the judge exactly what my ex's real motives were. We won and Mr. Emmons was even awarded attorneys fees. Of course my ex hasn't paid them. But I don't care, Mr. Emmons taught him a lesson and I don't think he will try that again because he was so embarrassed in court and it was well worth the money I had to spend defending myself.

He talked me out of hiring him for bankruptcy
This man is honest. I met with him to file a bankruptcy and he explained to me why it was not the right option for my circumstances. He spent an hour giving me advice about how to my financial debt without hiring him. Not many like this lawyer.

Honest and knowledgeable
Mr. Emmons is very knowledgeable with family law. He was able to quickly help our family obtain guardianship of my niece and nephew when a family emergency came up. He is a caring guy and very trustworthy. Thank you Mr. Emmons!

Not your typical family law attorney
Very satisfied with the result Mr. Emmons obtained for me. Mr. Emmons was my second attorney in my custody case after I fired another local lawyer who took my retainer but never my calls. From the outset, Mr. Emmons was very direct about what kind of outcome I could expect. I appreciated his straight talk. When we got to court, we did even better than I expected. In the final days leading up to our hearing, Mr. Emmons took every anxious call of mine and put my mind at ease. He's a good guy who understands how hard it is to stay calm when your children's lives are at stake. I was a nervous wreck and he was a calm voice of encouragement. I'd recommend him to anyone who needs a steady and experienced lawyer for a custody case.

Mr. Emmons saved my family
My income went down two years ago when I lost my job. My new job didnt pay as good and my bills were too high to pay off. When I got a forclosure letter I went to Mr. Emmons to see if there was anything I could do besides move in with my parents and loose the house. Mr. Emmons saved my house and got rid of all the credit card bills I couldnt pay off with my new job. He said he wished I would of seen him when I changed jobs so I could of gotten out of debt sooner. My familys doing great now and we would of had to move if it wasnt for Mr. Emmons. He talked to me about why bankrupcy would help me and everything he said was what happened. I am very thankful I found an honest lawyer to help me and my family.

I trust him completely and he has handled numerous legal activities. Real estate, personal injury, family law, power of attorney. I like his values and found him to be very trustworthy, caring, and ethical.

Honest Lawyer
He's as honest as the day is long. Told me right up front what my chances were in my case and didn't sugarcoat anything. So happy I hired him. My husband got completely ripped off by his attorney. Emmons is one of the good guys.

Do not hire! Do not recommend!
I hired this attorney last year to represent me for a simple child custody case and it’s not over yet. I had to go consult another attorney now to get help. I wasted all my morney i invested. The case was postponed 2x before ever going to court last July which was 3 months after filing. The defendant settled out of court but never signed the order. I tried contacting this attorney several times to find an answer but no return communication from him. The times I had problems with anything I had no help. Then the second week on January he texted me one morning which I was 6 hours away working and asks if I m on the way. I said on the way where? He said to court? I was in total devastation. This attorney never contacted me once about this date. The court date was again scheduled 2 weeks later and the night before I texted, emailed and called to leave messages letting him know I had an emergency to deal with. He again texted me and asked if I was on my way to court. How can an attorney be so shallow and not represent a client. The judge dismissed my case that day. Im having to again file the case with another attorney but they are outside this district.

Disappointed
I hire Mr. Emmons to represent me in a small court. I could have did what he did and save money. He negotiated a deal that he or I could have did and not went to a trail. Mr. Emmons would have been paid less so he said he would met me in court. He put up no defense so I was forced to take his negotiated deal. And to put icing on the cake he was talking with the debt collection agency after court about working for them. I would never use him or recommend him again.

Nice person, but not the best for probate
He is an incredibly nice and personable guy, but I recommend not hiring him for probate/estate. He had to do a lot of research on probate issues and was slow getting back with me. My mother who lived in another state but who died in a Georgia nursing home near me had left everything to me, so everything should have been simple, but he had problems figuring out some of the details. He practiced for many years in another state, so maybe he is just not up to speed with Georgia probate/estate law. Would recommend hiring someone more seasoned with Georgia laws if you are in Georgia.
