I first met Jimmy Heidelberg when his Pascagoula law firm joined our long time Gulfport defense team of Bryant & Stennis in the late 70’s. Soon thereafter we got sued, along with Travelers Insurance Company, for the Company’s denial of coverage over what appeared to be a case of arson, although neve...r proved. We had a week long trail, and Jimmy was magnificent. I knew he was ready from the extensive preparation and attention to detail that I had noticed in the depositions leading to trail. His grasp of our profession and the way we did business was amazing. At trial, he impressed me with the way he took time to explain in layman’s language for the jury what our terms meant, and he was able to relate to intellectuals, as well as the non-educated on the jury, an important trait. From that time on, Jimmy has represented Stewart Sneed Hewes, including since our merger with BancorpSouth.
