Excellent Attorney

Jay was fantastic to work with. Throughout the entire process, he was quite professional and attentive to my situation and its implications. His communication was timely and thorough. There was no stone left unturned in the entire process. Ultimately, Jay and his firm worked on my behalf for a favora...ble outcome, and I couldn't be more grateful to them for doing so. I would highly recommend this firm to anyone needing legal counsel.

The Neighborhood Lawyer

Jay Carmean was recommended to me by friends and coworkers before I truly needed his services. His discretion and trustworthiness cannot be matched, which can be hard to find in the small, tightly knit community in which I live and work. I am lucky to have had such an understanding and nonjudgmenta...l man represent me in a time that could have truly ruined my reputation and caused me to lose the respect of many. Mr. Carmean scolded me like a father and friend, taught me lessons I may have otherwise overlooked, and helped me grow into a responsible, hard-working young member of this community: and I cannot thank him enough. He will always be my recommendation, and I am honored to say he is a true friend to me to this day.

Great Choice.

I have used Jay Carmean for three separate incidents and he has successfully helped me get the best outcome for my situation every time. I know that if I have an issue with the legal system that I can turn to Jay to get the best legal representation in Oxford. Jay was abel to explain each situation t...o me very well and showed me my best possible options and the best/worst scenarios. Luckily for me Jay was able to get the best case scenario for all three of my cases. Overall Jay Carmean is a reliable option for anyone looking for professional legal representation.

Jay Carmean gave me my life back

My quick takeaway: Jay Carmean is a fantastic lawyer -- knowledgeable, honest, and supremely efficient. I would hire him again without hesitation. My (mildly) humorous takeaway: Jay Carmean is a fantastic lawyer -- knowledgeable, honest, and supremely efficient. I would hire him again without hes...itation. Hell, in the future I’ll prolly just contact him before I get indicted for things I haven’t done. My thoughtful takeaway: My case was personally and professionally a difficult one and, in fact, for a long time I wanted to take a different approach than Jay thought was legalistically advantageous. Ultimately, he convinced me to listen to his advice and, I can now say without hesitation, that was the best move I made throughout my entire ordeal. (My one caveat is that I only wish he had pushed harder (and sooner) against my druthers. This would have sped up my overall process, but I do believe he was trying to respect my wishes -- until he felt those wishes might backfire and put me in an unnecessarily compromised position. Again, I am very glad I took his advice.) In person Jay was always patient and thorough, permitting me endless questions and giving me solid rationale for why (or why not) we would make each decision. Via email, admittedly, I sometimes felt that I missed some of the nuances or (what I hoped would be) more detailed answers to my questions. But that is a truly minor complaint. The fact is: I was faced with a incredibly unfortunate legal situation, and Jay Carmean helped make things right. He has honestly helped me get my life back, and I can probably never thank him enough. Also: Avett Brothers. The man has impeccable taste in music. And in that spirit, I offer a final passage for the person who was the cause of my now (thank the freakin’ flying spaghetti monster) finished legal drama: “The weight of lies will bring you down And follow you to every town 'cause Nothing happens here that doesn't happen there So, when you run make sure you run To something and not away from 'cause Lies don't need an aeroplane to chase you down”
