There are no words to describe the gratitude I feel for Jay Carmean and his team. My son was in serious trouble and his bright future at stake. Jay worked with us long distance to achieve what I feel to be the best possible outcome we realistically could hope for. What I appreciate most about C...armean is that he gave a lot of thought to his strategy for providing the best possible representation of my son. He was up front about expectations and did not make any false promises. He invested his energy into helping my son and sacrificed time with his own family to do so. He really listened and showed a lot of compassion for our family. Jay maximized his relationships and reputation to create opportunities to defend my son as a good person who made a mistake during a heart-wrenching time in a young mans life. My son lost his grandfather and great-grandmother the same week his parents got divorced and moved out of the only family home he had ever known. He had just purchased a used car (which was seized) with hard-earned dishwashing money and drove to Mississippi on Spring break to get a way from all of the loss at home. Unfortunately he brought with him marijuana and was pulled over after driving 13 hours straight. Charged with a non-expungable felony with intent, he ended up with a reduction in the felony and 1 year in a prison rehab. My son does not deserve to be in jail 650 miles away from home, but the charges he was facing were life-wrecking and Jay helped turned an absolute nightmare into a bad dream. The Mississippi system is vastly different than Michigan and Jay did a great job navigating us through the lengthy process. Now that my son is behind bars, Jay is still there for me and my son. I just received my son's tennis shoes in the mail after Jay went to the jail to retrieve them. I asked if he can take him some earplugs to help give him some basic comfort against belligerent cell mates who blare the television and yell constantly. He said of course. For a mother to be separated from her beloved son like this, it is comforting to have lawyer who goes above and beyond. Jay Carmean is my hero. Someone needs to get that man a cape!

My son had some issues with the law in Oxford, MS. He is a college student and we never had experienced dealing with the police at anytime with our son. We interviewed several law firms in Oxford and landed with Jay's firm. He handled the situation very well and answered all of our questions. In a...ddition, Jay made himself available whenever it was convenient for us. All worked out as stated in their contract in addition to assisting us and my son all along the way. Not only was he knowledgeable about the law, he has some very good relationship skills where he could communicate with my son on his level. I would recommend Jay to anyone that needs some law help in Oxford.

INCREDIBLE REPRESENTATION!

I have been working with Jay Carmean for about two years now. He assisted a close family member. I truly cannot say enough incredible things about this man and the service he provides.
