This lawyer was disciplined by a state licensing authority.
When an attorney is censured it means he or she did something wrong but may still practice law. Typically in this case the lawyer's poor behavior is exposed to the public in hopes that he or she will not repeat the behavior.

I met with Kimberly in 2011 for a consultation on a divorce. She was very professional in appearance and manner. After I explained my situation, she assured me she would do everything in her power to meet my needs and she did. She cared about my needs and emotionally supported me. She took away my fears by stating "Let me do the worrying, that's my job." Kim guided me through the process every step of the way. The results were impressive and resolved in a timely manner. It all came out in my favor. I kept the house and all of my belongings. This result was undoubtedly all because of Kimberly Shields' professional knowledge of Tennessee divorce law and her hard work. All I can say is I would highly recommend Attorney Kimberly Shields. Thanks again Kimberly." - Lisa M.
