While attending law school, Laurel completed a certified internship
with Gulf Coast Legal assisting in all aspects of domestic violence
litigation. Additionally, Laurel completed a seminar course on
adoptions and focused other coursework on the areas of estate planning.
After receiving her Juris Doctor degree from Stetson University
College of Law, Laurel served two years as an Assistant Attorney
General in the Child Support Enforcement Division representing the
State of Florida Department of Revenue in matters related to the
establishment of paternity and child support; modification of support
judgments and support enforcement.
After leaving the Office of the Attorney General, Laurel worked for
a civil litigation firm in Tampa, Florida where she gained valuable
experience in all areas of family law including dissolution of
marriage, custody modification, and enforcement of existing orders.
From there, Laurel expanded her practice to include contract legal
services for several firms in the Tampa Bay area before opening her own
firm, Laurel C. Farrell, P.A.
