My husband and I had already been down this process with another law firm, and it was nightmare. We ended up firing or prior attorney; lost time, money, confidence in the process and system; and my husband did not anywhere in getting his Application Approval for a Lawful Permanent Resident. We stopped the process and just decided to take our chances. I had a good job, he was working, everything was going great, we started our family. Then it happen, I became very ill, which in the long run, I became disabled. We both began to worry what would happen if I became seriously ill; that I could not work, then it happen. My doctors advised me that my illness had worsened to the point that I was a risk to my employer and I needed to think about permanent disability and start the process. That is when we consulted Elliott Ozment, he took the time to review my personal health issues and he took my issues serious and I could feel the compassion that he felt for me and my husband. He was concern for the length of time that he would have to be away from us, due to the deportation process back to Mexico while awaiting the approval. He explained to us in detail what the expectation was to be and want would be the process of my husband having to return to Mexico for a period of time. But I was not able to accept this and really caused his assistant a headache. Poor Jorge had to explain this process over and over and over to me all the time and had to listen to me breakdown crying over the phone. And it wasn't Jorge's fault it was just the issue of me nit wanting to accept the answer he was giving me, even though I knew what the process was. It was just I want to find a way to keep him here in case something happen to me. I just felt helpless and that nobody cared, but they did; because I really didn't realized what Mr. Ozment's team had done until my husband saw, for his own eyes, in Mexico the documents, waivers, medical records and that the representative actually knew about my wife medical issues and ask about them. At that point, my husband knew that Jorge and all the others had done everything they said they were doing to help express my wife serious health issues. At that point my entire outlook change toward Mr. Ozment and his team of associates.
Yes, the entire process took time, on our part, because during the process, my oldest son, joined the Army and was shipped to Afghanistan, for over a yea,r and was in active combat, my father passed away and it was just not a good time for us, but Mr. Ozment and Jorge worked with us and got us on track again and here we are.
My husband, left for Mexico, May 2016, and was only there for 6 days and was back in the United States, approved as a Lawful Permanent Residence one week for the day he left. A blessing from above and the proof of excellence of a job well done. Mr. Ozment and Jorge, I thank you for everything that you have done for our family. Jorge you are our lifesaver. I hope that you can forgive me for all those times I was upset with you? But most of all; you never provided me with any false hope and was always up front and honest on possible outcomes good and bad, and for that I'm truly grateful. On Immigration issue I would only want the Ozment Law Firm handling my case. And having Jorge handling your file processing in a plus also. I feel that angels were sent to us when the Ozment Law Firm telephone number was given to my husband by a friend. If we need help on this type of issue in the future we will call Elliott Ozment, if he will take our call. If he hear's it's us calling, he might decide not to take the call. Hope we've, or I've, not hurt that relationship. God Bless the both of you...
