My mother and I were reluctant to hire an attorney for our accident. We had seen all of the advertisements on television for various attorneys and that just didn’t seem like us.
Once we determined that we needed to hire an attorney to represent us, we chose the Rocky McElhaney Law Firm based on the references we read. From the very start, Rocky and his team were very professional. They didn’t make big promises, but kept us informed of what they would try to accomplish for us.
Rocky told us early on that our case might take a while. It ended up taking almost two years to settle. During that time, Rocky and Gina (the paralegal handling our case) were extremely communicative with us. We never wondered what was going on or where we were in the process. They treated us as if we were family and made us feel like we were an important client.
We learned over these past two years that Rocky is more than an extraordinary attorney. He is incredibly easy to talk to. He listened to us, treated us with respect and provided us with great guidance and counsel as he handled our claim. Based on our experience with his firm, we would highly recommend Rocky McElhaney Law Firm.

I was involved in a wreck just over a year ago. I had been in some fender benders in the past but this one scared me. I didn't start having whiplash symptoms until a little while after. I called Rocky. James and Tammy and everyone at the office was so kind. They immediately took the burden of dealing with the insurance companies off my shoulders. They were very easy to work with caring, kind, and informative. I was really satisfied with this firm and my result. This is not the first experience I've had dealing with a lawyer. Compared to my other experiences I really think these guys are on it. I feel really good about what they did for me.

After calling several local law firms and being turned down, Rocky personally met with me. He took the time to hear my story when those other lawyers wouldn't give me the time of day. Rocky's charisma won me over. We had a seemingly difficult auto wreck case involving serious injuries but he took the case without any qualms. I felt very comfortable leaving things in his hands. He handled my family's case quickly and got us the highest possible recovery we could have received from this matter. Everyone at the office was kind, helpful, and personable. I felt like I was treated dignity and respect. I would highly recommend him to anyone. He and his team will always be my number one choice.

Rocky hasn't been only a lawyer to me. He's also been my friend. I've known Rocky for almost 19 years. How I found Rocky was when I was injured at work. I had fell 14 feet into a crevice under a building. I was injured pretty bad and need somebody's help with my insurance and so on. It was a really bad time in my life.
He came to my house to meet with me and to look and see exactly what had happened. I felt like I was in good hands going through something I'd never dealt with before. Somehow he was able to get my case settled within four months. I couldn't think of a better attorney to have other than my friend and lawyer Rocky McElhaney.

I was traveling in an SUV with six other ladies in Smyrna, Tennessee. We were going about 30mph when we were hit head on by a drunk driver going 60mph. That man lost his life in the wreck. All I remember was remember was rolling through the air and then waking up and hearing the emergency personnel say “They’re all DOA.” That’s when I remember coming to for a second and screaming “I’m not dead! We’re not dead!” Miraculously, all my sisters survived but we all paid a very big price physically.
The woman that was sitting behind me in the vehicle had broken her leg and hip in wreck and her leg pushed the metal on the head rest into the back of my head near my brain stem. That caused a host of long-term brain injury symptoms. I had 12 hours of visual blindness. I suffered from chronic emotionally triggered-vertigo which looked and acted like narcolepsy when I got excited, sad or angry. I had uncontrollable nausea, vomiting and chronic dizziness.
Worst of all, I lost 15 years of my memory with amnesia of which is something I’m still coping with. I have 22 foster kids and 6 adopted kids and I can’t remember their names. I can’t remember how to do many basic things that used to come second nature. For a long time I thought that I actually carried my adopted daughter and gave birth to her until she told me that it wasn’t true. That whole chunk of my life was just gone. I lost my ability to sew, crochet and cook. Not just the ability, but the passion to do those things as well. Though I am very thankful that my injuries weren’t worse, it has been emotionally trying. Before the wreck everyone thought of me as a great chef and home cook and looked forward to my cooking. Now I stare at the stove for a half hour trying to figure out how to fry an egg.
I am a Jehovah's Witness and so are the other ladies that were in the car with me. The Jehovah’s Witness community is like family. Dena, who has been with Rocky’s office for over 10 years is a Jehovah’s Witness and so we naturally connected looking for help with our claims for damages in the wreck. In a injury claim involving six people and many different insurance companies things can get complicated and tension can build quickly and put a strain on relationships. Though only four of the six ladies hired Rocky as their lawyer, Rocky never pushed or made tried to pit us against one another. He explained every possible way we could seek financial recoveries in our cases. He laid it all out for us in an understandable way. Most importantly, he never forced us one way or the other. He respected our decision, even when it meant lesser recovery.
I think most lawyers out there would put more pressure on us to fight each other for more money, because the more we get the more the lawyer gets paid but Rocky wasn’t like that at all. I really feel like out of all of the lawyers out there, that Rocky and his team are really genuine about helping people and doing whatever it takes to make them happy and get them to a better place. Though I know Rocky may not have always understood us, he respected us, he listened and he fought for a fair settlement which we were very happy with. Collectively, our main concern was just to make sure that the older sisters were taken care of and the rest of us were just praying to get back to zero. My husband and I were praying for a certain number and wouldn’t you believe, He delivered in the form of Rocky McElhaney Law Firm. I not only was able to pay off my medical bills but I was able to pay a the final $50K on my home loan and pay off my house. He and Dena and his firm have helped my family to become debt free.
Even though I’m still grappling with some amnesia and other chronic symptoms from the accident, I am thankful for the journey and thankful for the Rocky Law Firm coming into my life. They did an honest job for honest pay and helped me to get my groove back.

I am a road musician, master session singer, and recording artist. I have charted 7 times.... a car wreck brought this all to a halt. I was hurt, with torn muscles in my hands, my back had a disc injury, I had whiplash, and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. I had memory loss from being hit in the head by my rear view mirror....and my legs and feet were constantly in pain. (No more high heels on stage). My fiancee paid my bills long distance, for me, so I could survive, as I couldn't accept out of town bookings...though I did some in town, without having to drive far.God Bless him.... Then there is my lawyer, who protected me, and advised me, when I needed an advocate. His name is Rocky McElhaney; and I would've been lost without him....First of all, my friend Stan Hedges' widow, Sandy, recommended him to me...and I can't thank her enough. The physical pain, compounded by the vulnerability was tough to bear.He took my case, and stopped the harassing calls from the hospital.... and advised me to keep a journal, recording my daily emotions and events, which I did. I found it therapeutic, but I also was recording systematic events regarding my case, thus making it and me stronger.I needed to be stronger. My part time job as a waitress was kept only due to a very kind and sympathetic boss, who allowed me to carry two plated at once instead of four, and still does...understanding that my memory has been harmed, and I now bring food to the wrong tables, after working there 23 years....he is a patient man, and treats us like family. You see a mirror hit me in the temple very hard during this car crash. I , after being diagnosed by two Neurologists, they both said I had Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, and shock. I believe it. I couldn't remember where I was going while driving sometimes. Who came to my rescue??? Rocky McElhaney, Believe me, he had bigger fish to fry, and he took me personally. Having someone like him represent you will change your life...he won my case. I will always feel pain physically, and feel robbed of my very precious time here on Earth; because of the carelessness of the other driver, but at least someone cared, and stood by me; and never dropped me, and made sure I sought the right physical therapy, and medical care. Yes. We won. The end.

I'm going to say right now, my story is not going to be like everybody else on here but God gives us all different struggles and I hope this helps somebody. This firm has helped me through one of the darkest times of my life.
On January 3, 2012, I got the call that I had been fired after enduring a horrible neck injury from getting hurt at work a year prior. Bills were behind, my car was broke down and I so did I. They cut my insurance off, they cut my comp check off. Everything stopped in one day. I had to leave my apartment. I had no where to live. They called me and told me they were sending me to pain management and that there was nothing else they could do for my injury.
Three years went by, I kept telling the pain management doctor that I knew it was not muscle pain. Every visit, I would tell the doctor that could hardly move, that it felt like lighting was striking across my body. I couldn't move my fingers. Finally, they sent me for a test and told me that my work injury had worsened. The disk had moved and was sitting right on top of the nerve. They told me the ONLY way they could treat it was with steroid shots and pills they wouldn't do surgery- which is what I really needed to correct the issues.
I couldn't do anything I loved anymore. I couldn't be with my grandkids. I couldn't play music. I couldn't leave the house without taking a pill. I was so depressed and ashamed. I've never been addicted to anything. I felt like nothing. I did things I'm not proud of but I couldn't handle the pain. Work comp didn't care, they sent me a letter to tell me that they would no longer provide me with care because I ended up abusing the pills that they got me hooked on. I didn't want to be me no more. I didn't want to be here anymore. I couldn't trust nobody. The only person I could call was Rocky. I told Rocky he was my last hope. They only person that could help me and Rocky told me "If you listen to me and get off these pills, I will get you through this- everything will be alright, Alex." And that's when my life changed- finally for the better. And now I know looking back that God, Rocky and my girlfriend and my good friends and very spiritual family are the only reason I that am still here today.
Rocky and Dena, got me to treatment right away. They pushed for it. It wasn't easy. I didn't want to at first. But Rocky, Dena, and my doctor got me over the pills. They got me around the curve. They saved my life from a place I never thought it could go.
Rocky fought for me. We never went to court, but Rocky just went to work. The adjuster was a nightmare and he spared me from that. He fault hard to secure me a great settlement. After living on $75 a week for four years it was an unbelievable feeling to be able to provide for my family, to buy my kids and grandkids Christmas presents, to be able to laugh and enjoy people. I have a new car that I'm proud of and so thankful for. I still live in unbearable pain everyday but I'd rather lay in my bed all day then destroy my life with another pill. I'm living drug free and that I've won my life back. Getting injured at work and dealing with work comp and their doctors took so much from me. But Rocky Law helped me get my life back and I'm stronger for it. A pill don't fix you, it makes you worser. I will never let anybody else in my life tell me different. This firm represents freedom from that to me.

I've known Rocky for about 13 years. We met in about 2002. He took a case for me when no one would. He actually handled a few different matters for me. He was upright, straightforward and honest. He talks the talk and walks the walk. He's been good to me and my wife to his family Christmas party even. Rocky is a class-act. In fact, I sent him a few people that needed a lawyer. I try to send everybody I can to him because I trust him. He did me and my family right. I know everybody thinks lawyers are a bunch of thieves but Rocky is broke the mold. Always calls me back, always asks about me. Good guy all the way around.

Rocky McElhaney has went way beyond being a lawyer, he is like a family member. I was badly burned in an industrial accident in 2001 by phosphorus. That day my whole life changed. My family and the doctors didn't even think I was going to make it. Thankfully, I pulled through. Rocky was there by my side from the hospital all the way through the entire fight with work comp and social security. He was there through everything. He went to the doctor visits with me, he was there when I needed him on my worst days, even asked me if he could help paint my house to help me out. I'm telling you, I don't know of any lawyer out there who would treat me so good. We've went to court several times either because workers' comp was trying to cut my meds or because of a social security hearing. Every time it's a nerve-racking experience, but Rocky eased my fears, told me how things were going to go every step of the way. He always did his homework, knew the law, always knew what was going on in my case and when it was time to get in front of the judge he always dominated and made things right. Because Rocky was in my corner, my case was successful. I went through so much depression because of my accident- I can honestly say, I don't think I'd be here if it wasn't for him. At the bleakest times in my life he gave me hope. He even got me additional lump sum in social security payments where initially I was told I was going to be owing social security. He really turned that around! This man is incredible. If you don't know who to turn to after an accident like mine, or a car accident, or other personal injury and you just hire somebody else, you're experience WILL be totally different, and you could be taking a big risk with your future. When you hire Rocky, you can trust he and his team do everything they can to ensure that you get the compensation you deserve and so desperately need. There is no attorney out there like Rocky!
