Michael Wilson is a native Floridian who earned Juris Doctor at Stetson University College of Law. Michael previously earned his Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from Saint Leo University in Pasco County, Florida. While in law school, Michael participated in the Judicial Internship Program for the Sixth Judicial Circuit - Pasco County, Florida, and the Public Defender Clinic for the Sixth Judicial Circuit - Pinellas County, Florida. Michael was already well versed in the Pasco and Pinellas County court system by the time he was admitted to the Florida Bar.
While in private practice, Michael represented clients in both criminal and civil legal matters throughout the Sixth Judicial Circuit and Tampa Bay Metropolitan Area. Michael also graduated from the Pasco-Hernando State College Law Enforcement Academy, and he currently serves Pasco County as a Professional Standards Detective at the Pasco Sheriff’s Office.
Michael also proudly serves our great country as a Captain in the United States Army Reserve Judge Advocate General's Corps. Michael graduated from the Judge Advocate Officer Basic Course and the Judge Advocate Officer Advanced Course in Charlottesville, Virginia, and the Direct Commission Course in Fort Benning, Georgia.
As a judge advocate in the Army Reserve, Michael practices law throughout a wide variety of legal disciplines including administrative law, criminal law, fiscal and contract law, operational law, and legal assistance. Michael is currently assigned to the Army Reserve Medical Command located at the C.W. Bill Young Armed Forces Reserve Center in Pinellas Park, Florida. Michael is also certified as a Special Victim’s Counsel by The Judge Advocate General of the United States Army, and represents sexual assault victims throughout the entire military justice process including court-martial.
Michael truly enjoys spending quality time with his wife and their two sons. Michael's recreational hobbies include hunting, fishing, weightlifting, firearms, and competitive sports. Michael has also enjoyed volunteering as a field and plate umpire for the Greater Hudson Little League in Pasco County.
Michael's memberships and affiliations include the Florida Bar Association and the National Rifle Association.
