Outcome: Jury Verdict of Not Guilty
Description: Defendant rear-ended a tow truck, and then was seen by bystander stuffing a bag of marijuana into her purse. She failed field sobriety tests, and refused a breath test. She admitted to police that she had had five beers. Jury learned that she had drunk those beers over a six hour period, and was unstable on her feet due to the accident. She testified that the marijuana in her car had been left there by a friend. Jury found her not guilty of DUI and possession of cannabis.
