Preservation Land for Community Park - Sugarhouse Creek
My experience with Sean was brief but he was courteous and promptly responded to my inquiry. While this exchange with Sean was regarding a not-for-profit matter he still took the time to research the matter and explore options. I was very pleased and look forward to engaging his services in the future!
I specialize in legal issues relating to Land Conservation.
Sean is a trusts, estates, and real property attorney who combines an accomplished background in law, government, and media relations with an advocacy for senior citizens. He augments Bach & Jacobs’ practice in wills, trusts, estate planning, guardianship, and probate litigation. He holds a JD from The American University in Washington, DC, where he graduated cum laude. Sean received his BS in Political Science and Economics from Texas Lutheran University, graduating magna cum laude with honors.
Prior to joining Bach & Jacobs, Sean was the in-house counsel for the Conservation Foundation of the Gulf Coast where he provided options to landowners, high net worth individuals, and their financial advisors seeking to reduce federal income taxes and local property taxes through land conservation and philanthropy. He worked his way through law school at a trusts and estates law firm while attending classes. While a law student, Sean authored an article on estate planning for the elderly that was published by the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys following a nationwide competition. His writings about the tax incentives of conservation easements have also been published by the Sarasota County Bar Association’s ‘The Docket.’
Sean is a member of the Florida Bar, the American Bar Association, the Southwest Florida Estate Planning Counsel, Leadership Sarasota County, the Sarasota County Bar Association, and the Young Lawyers Division. Sean has been a director on several community boards and is a lecturer on topics relating to the tax and financial advantages of land conservation.
