I am a trusts, estates, and real property attorney who combines an accomplished background in law, government, and media relations with my advocacy for senior citizens. I augment Bach & Jacobs’ practice in wills, trusts, estate planning, guardianship, and probate litigation. I hold a JD from The American University in Washington, DC, where I graduated cum laude. I received my BS in Political Science and Economics from Texas Lutheran University, graduating magna cum laude with honors.
Prior to joining Bach & Jacobs, I was the in-house counsel for the Conservation Foundation of the Gulf Coast where I provided options to landowners, high net worth individuals, and their financial advisors seeking to reduce federal income taxes and local property taxes through land conservation and philanthropy. I worked his way through law school at a trusts and estates law firm while attending classes. While a law student, I authored an article on estate planning for the elderly that was published by the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys following a nationwide competition. My writings about the tax incentives of conservation easements have also been published by the Sarasota County Bar Association’s ‘The Docket.’
I am a member of the Florida Bar, the American Bar Association, the Southwest Florida Estate Planning Counsel, Leadership Sarasota County, the Sarasota County Bar Association, and the Young Lawyers Division. I have been a director on several community boards and am a lecturer on topics relating to the tax and financial advantages of land conservation.

Especially with Elder law, it is important an attorney be empathetic and caring towards their Clients, but also Clients’ family, care givers, etc. Sean excels in this. With our ageing population, many attorneys are trying to jump into the Elder law field. Sean has worked in and showed an interest in this field since law school.
