Juvenile Defense

Criminal Defense Attorney, Brett McIntosh, has had a reputation in Manatee and Sarasota Counties for a very long time as an attorney who fights for his clients no matter the circumstances! I am sure that reputation will and continue to grow for many more years as Brett is the real deal and will do al...l he can to reach the best, most fair result for his clients. My family recently had an unfortunate experience resulting in an exaggerated felony charge on a juvenile. After consulting with Brett, it was clear that he was fair, honest and extremely skilled in his practice area. Brett was not only able to get the original felony charge lowered to a misdemeanor, but worked diligently with us and the State Attorneys office ultimately negotiating the result of Nolle Prosequi. Well Done Mr. Mcintosh!! We highly, highly, highly recommend McIntosh Law!!

A++

My family hired Brett McIntosh for my son's criminal defense. He was everything one would hope for in a criminal defense attorney...not only was he knowledgeable, professional and experienced, he has an easy-going manner that is so pleasant and compassionate. We are grateful we found him!

Reduced DUI to reckless driving

Bret worked very hard to get my dui offense reduced to a reckless driving offense making my terms of probation much simpler to complete! Bret Save me a lot of money, time and also the aggravation of losing my license for a year! Bret also made it so I could be off of probation as soon as I paid for... my court costs which could be as soon as 30 days! Bret and his staff were there the whole time keeping me informed of the my situation through the whole process and did a excellent job representing me!

Less than one star service no results

I’m very disappointed with the quality of service, lack of results, and the lack of initiative to put together a case on my behalf. I payed 500 to file a motion to early terminate my probation and defense surrounding that which is high based on other offers i had priced out. I specificity picked this... law firm, because someone had recommended me to them and i was told they would be aggressive educated and build me a winning case. It took many months to even get a hearing i never saw or talked to the lawyer until the court hearing that was held via zoom. With zero one on one time to let him know why i should be able to be let off probation, and that i was trying to better myself to start a new career path. Only the spoke to the assistant, the defense was poor from the state based on hearsay with no factual evidence, or anything being a issue. Them just not wanting to early term even though i have met the legal conditions to FL, statue 948.04. Which i told the receptionist, about that statue to begin I had good reasoning but i didn’t have a voice, and thats why i payed for a lawyer. Had i of not spoken up and put in the work myself, i would of got no where. I had to speak, while the guy i payed for was more silent than a public defender, and i still didn’t get entirely off probation, just administrative. So now I cannot start my school, i can’t advance my career and move on in life. I called after and finally spoke to the lawyer directly, and said “for a small fee they could file another motion in two months to retry” but in two months i’m off probation. I will never ever recommend this law firm. I cannot believe my money was taken and the service received was less that then a public defender. It's a rip off, now i can not start school because of the way the program in the college works where you got to be linked up with a employer before entry, and they will not do it on administrative probation. So now my life and my career path is two months behind, because of Macintosh law’s passiveness to take any form of action or, initiative to even fight my case. They don’t deserve a 5 star review with 1 star service. Ive been treated better at a drive through!

Compassionate, Knowledgeable Attorney

Two years ago I was charged with a felony and my lawyer and I agreed that a plea agreement was my best choice of action. Within the first year my lawyer died unexpectedly, two months before my first sentencing hearing. My family made numerous calls to lawyers in the Sarasota area and Brett McIntosh w...as recommended and took on my case. He is a very smart and knowledgeable attorney who was also easy to talk with. We discussed my situation at length and he explained every aspect of my case with me. He worked hard for a year through numerous postponements on my behalf and was able to get my sentence lowered. He is an excellent attorney who treated me like a person and not just a client. I made poor choices which led to my arrest and he believed in me and knew I was a good person. Thanks to him I will be able to get my life back on a positive track sooner than I hoped.
