I am a Southwest Florida attorney Board Certified in Labor and Employment Law by The Florida Bar.  Certification is the highest level of recognition given by The Florida Bar for competency and experience within an area of law.  My practice focuses on providing representation in the areas of employment law, insurance claims, whistleblower representation, and civil litigation.

As an expert in employment law, I specialize in representations involving overtime (FLSA), discrimination, retaliation, sexual harassment, whistleblowers, non-compete agreements, FMLA, USERRA, ERISA, unpaid wages/commissions, employment contracts, and the False Claims Act (qui tam).

I also have substantial experience litigating insurance claims, including hurricane damage, commericial property, disability insurance, life insurance, and most other matters involving litigation against an insurance company.  Lately, my insurance practice has concentrated on providing representation for families and businesses denied appropriate insurance coverage following Hurricane Irma.  

In addition to the above areas, I provide representation for victims of sexual misconduct, and most business litigation matters.

Thorough, Compassionate, and Pleasant to Work With
Mr. Rothman took my "David and Goliath" like employment case against an industry giant. I was so scared but felt the need to pursue them because they were wrong. It is not easy to fight a company with deep pockets and a willingness to fight the " little guy" all the way. Mr. Rothman showed confidence in me and my case and did everything he needed to do to get a victory. We won our jury trial 100%. But that was not the end of it. They continued to fight us with appeal after appeal. In the end we prevailed and I must give all of the credit to Mr. Rothman for knowing his job and doing what it takes. During the entire process, I was treated with the utmost respect and compassion.

Excellent/Skilled Employment Attorney
Without hesitation, I recommend Brad Rothman, PL and use him myself for any future needs. It took Brad less than two weeks to resolve what I had struggle to politely resolve on my own for over two months. I had commissions that were due and owed to me by a previous employer. Working with Brad is a clear, professional, and a results driven process. I called into Brad's firm, and spoke directly with Brad. We discussed in detail my situation. He drafted a very poignant letter on my behalf, emailed it to me for approval, upon my acceptance forwarded the letter on to my previous employer. Eight days later I recieved , in-full, commissions owed to me. I couldn't be more pleased to have this "issue" behind me. I absolutely give full credit to Brad for bringing it to an expedient close.

Professional and knowledgeable
I went into the whole process with walls up. One by one Brad was able to effectively remove those walls by professionally dismantling them by making me feel comfortable with the decisions I needed to make. His knowlege, experience, and follow through were key to getting fast and fair results. I always felt he and his staff had an open line of communication which kept me well informed of the status of my case. It's a no brainer that if ever I need an attorney Brad would get my first call.

This is who you want working for you.
From the first meeting with Mr. Rothman I knew I'd made the right choice. There was a comforting sense of confidence that was proven true throughout my case. "Quality of service" is the phrase I use when I recommend Mr. Rothman and his staff. He knew what to do, and got it done when he said he would. His supporting staff was professional, and extremely competent. I felt I was "the " client, not just another client. Rather rare now days. There was never a step in my case when I had to wonder what was going on, or when someone would get back to me. There was no wavering from the strategy. The end result for me was extremely positive. This was the best experience with an attorney I have ever had and I am grateful to Mr. Rothman and his staff for all of their hard work.

High Recommendation for Attorney Rothman
Attorney Rothman defended me in a lawsuit brought against me by my former employer. The case got settled out of court, saving me thousands of dollars in expensive court costs. I would highly recommend Attorney Rothman for employment related cases. His fees are very fair compared with other attorneys and he really knows what he is doing when negotiating and taking depositions.
