My skills include IRS controversies (problems with tax refunds, audits, exams, payments, levies, liens, and tax court), child custody unrelated to divorce (temporary or concurrent custody, emancipation), and education law, especially special education matters, as well as management. After three years as an attorney, I was managing attorney of a branch office.
Before attending law school, I taught middle and high school English. In law school I worked on children's civil matters, as a Public Service Fellow, before becoming an attorney and practicing dependency and education law.
Although I grew up in Naples, most of my practice was in North Florida and included dependency, family law, appeals, injunctions for protection, landlord-tenant, bankruptcy, wills and simple probate, and directing a Low Income Taxpayer Clinic. I was fortunate to sit first chair in hundreds of hearings and trials, and have 12 years civil litigation experience as an attorney. Additionally, I practiced 1 1/2 years as a certified legal intern under supervision prior to becoming licensed.
My current practice, now in Naples, focuses on IRS controversies (no wealth planning please), civil litigation, education, non-dissolution child custody, and civil appeals. I also prepare simple end of life planning documents (will, living will, health surrogate, power of attorney). Please call for a free consultation on any matter.

Tara was my supervisor as I started my legal career. She was an amazing role model. She advocates confidently for her clients, and formulates creative ways to solve problems. She is organized, efficient, and professional. I am very thankful that I had the opportunity to work with her during such a formative time in my life.
