One of Fort Myers Best.

Mr. Moorey was lead counsel on my case. He is honest, dependable, trustworthy, and highly knowledgable of the law. He was very responsive to all of my needs throughout my case, and kept me informed of all new information along the way. His professionalism and compassion for his work shines through on... all levels. The alleged crime was a capital charge that warranted a maximum sentence of life in prison. Mr. Moorey worked extensively and diligently on my case, resulting in a verdict of not guilty. It is with my highest regard and the utmost respect that I recommend Mr. Moorey as a superb example of what a defense attorney should be. I am honored to have had him defending my case, and will be forever grateful for the service that he provided. Best Regards, J.M.

Lack of quality representation

I hired Jill Prenger from the Scott T Moorey firm. I was charged with assault with a deadly weapon without intent to harm and should’ve been charged with a misdemeanor firing a weapon within 1000 feet of a residence. Jill charged me $9000 to take the case and in the six months she was working on it.... I probably talked to her a half a dozen times. Every time I call her, I would get a response from an assistant or a paralegal and the case drug out for six months and I ended up in theworst case scenario I could. Jill never came out to the scene of the incident which was only about 10 miles from her office and was told that we had a deal that I would serve four years probation and have my second amendment rights taken away for four years. At the end of the four years, everything was supposed to be dropped or adjudicated and life would go on. When we got to the hearing, I could not hear the judge very well I was having a hearing aid problem, which the VA ordered new ones the very next day for me and the next thing I know Jill takes my wife and I out into the lobby and says either the judge didn’t like the way I looked at him or I answered the question too slowly I was in shock. I am a US submarine veteran with a cleann criminal record. I ended up losing my second amendment rights for life and ended up being a felon for life, which was nowhere what the deal was supposed to be walking into hearing. I told Jill when I paid her the 9000 for that kind of money I expected the expertise of the entire firm . As far as I know, no one else in the firm ever worked on the case and again the whole six months I probably spoke to Jill half a dozen times. as we left the hearing again, I was in shock after the charges were changed and we got out in the lobby. Jill said I hate to cut you short, but I have another appointment. We have not heard from her since. It was if she just tried to destroy our lives again no criminal arrest record no citations and I am 73 years old. I get a felony for life when I’m supposed to get one for four years Stay away from this firm and of all things stay far away from Jill Prenger.
