About me

I am the senior associate attorney at The Law Firm for Family Law.

I graduated from Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio with a degree in Biology. I then attended The University of Dayton School of Law on the Academic Excellence Scholarship. While in law school, I externed for the Second District Court of Appeals where I gained a great deal of experience researching and drafting memoranda and decisions for judges, staff attorneys, and the Court on a broad range of legal issues.

After graduating from law school and while preparing for the Ohio Bar Exam, I clerked for the firms of Lasky & Scharrer and Cohen & Gregg.  As a law clerk, I conducted legal research and drafted memoranda, pleadings, and appellate briefs for senior attorneys, which mainly focused on Family Law and Landlord/Tenant matters, and included several successful appellate briefs.

I began practicing law in Ohio in the fields of Family Law, Criminal Law, Bankruptcy, and Landlord/Tenant disputes. However, I quickly discovered that Family Law is my passion and my temperament is well suited to representing clients in what can be a highly emotional area of law. As a result, I focused my practice exclusively on Family Law clients beginning June 2013. Since then, I have handled a significant amount of Family Law cases, including a good amount of trial work.

In 2014, I prepared for and took the Florida Bar Exam in 2014 while maintaining my full-time law practice in Dayton, Ohio. I was admitted to The Florida Bar in September 2014. On June 1, 2015, I was fortunate enough to become the senior associate attorney at The Law Firm For Family Law.

I am now admitted to practice before all courts in Florida and Ohio, and the United States District Court, Southern District of Ohio.  I am a member of The Florida Bar, The Clearwater Bar Association, The St. Petersburg Bar Association, and The Canakaris American Inn of Court.
