Mr. Caputo is an experienced Trial Attorney who focuses his practice on Litigation, Real Estate, Business Development/Consultation, and Personal Injury/Workman’s Compensation.
Mr. Caputo had advised and represented both borrowers/debtors and local and national financial institutions on special asset matters, foreclosures, lien and encumbrance issues, closing protection letter and title insurance claims, commercial developments, commercial financing, secured transactions, and bankruptcy matters. Mr. Caputo is a title agent with The Fund and has extensive experience with simple and highly complex title issues involving transactions as well as post transaction recovery throughout the State of Florida. Mr. Caputo has extensive experience representing buyers and purchasers in contracting, financing and the development of residential and commercial properties, including high rise and mixed use developments. As a consultant for a variety of growing and aspiring businesses, Mr. Caputo assists business owners in corporate formation, intellectual property, contracts, insurance, and various non-legally related business matters. Mr. Caputo represents insurance companies and individuals in personal injury actions and workers’ compensation claims. Mr. Caputo is well versed in the courtroom having tried over 150 bench and jury trials to conclusion.
Mr. Caputo obtained a Master in Business Administration (MBA) and a Juris Doctorate (JD) from Stetson University in two and a half years, and obtained a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) in Finance and Banking and Risk Management and Insurance with a Certificate in Financial Planning from Appalachian State University. Mr. Caputo competed nationally in the International Association of Registered Financial Consultants National Financial Planning Competition receiving 1st place and in the Ameriprise Financial National Planning Competition receiving 3rd place.
As an Eagle Scout and avid outdoorsman Mr. Caputo enjoys the great outdoors. In 2014, he spent 30 days backpacking Yosemite National Park (CA), Mt. Hood (OR), Big Sur(CA), and Lake Tahoe(CA). As a former white water rafting guide Mr. Caputo enjoys whitewater kayaking and a variety of water sports. He enjoys spending time with his wife and family here in Florida and visiting the mountains in his home state of North Carolina.
