Sean McQuaid is a Shareholder with the firm practicing in the areas of criminal defense, general civil litigation, and personal injury.
His personal injury practice has steadily expanded and he represents those injured in automobile accidents, slip and falls as well as wrongful death matters.
Mr. McQuaid's criminal practice involves representation of defendants charged with serious crimes in State and Federal courts. He also represents those charged with traffic offenses including DUIs and all other misdemeanor offenses. His office is only 1 mile away from the south county traffic court at 1800 66th St. in St. Petersburg and he is before that court regularly.
His civil practice also covers a wide range of areas. Mr.McQuaid handles general civil litigation, commercial litigation, contract litigation and trust and probate litigation as well as consulation for numerous business matters.
Mr. McQuaid is a member of the Florida Bar,the Bar of the Federal District Court for the Middle District of Florida and the St.Petersburg Bar Association.
In August 2010, Governor Charlie Crist appointed Mr.McQuaid to the Judicial Nominating Commission for the Sixth Judicial Circuit. The term of his appointment began on August 20, 2010. The Commission is responsible for recommending judical appointments to the Governor in Pinellas and Pasco counties. Mr. McQuaid serves on the City of St. Petersburg Nuisance Abatement Board and was elected Chairman for 2014. Mr.McQuaid also served on the Executive Committee of the Suncoast Chapter of the Make-A-Wish Foundation. He was the President of the Harbor Isle Homeowners' Association for 6 years and is still on the Board, is a member of the St. Petersburg Sports Alliance and remains extremely active in the Community.
Mr. McQuaid has been a resident of St. Peterburg since August of 1997 when he began his legal studies at Stetson University College of Law. During law school he was a member of the Moot Court Board from 1998 through 2000. He joined the firm in August of 2000.
While at Princeton University, Mr.McQuaid was a four (4) year varsity letterman, captain of the Princeton Baseball Team and a member of Kappa Alpha Order.
