About me

Will has many years of experience handling all levels of criminal charges, ranging from misdemeanors to murder and capital sexual battery throughout the state of Florida. Originally from Mississippi, he grew up in middle Tennessee before attending Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia, where he majored in Psychology.

Following college, Will enlisted in the United States Marine Corps Reserve, while also attending Florida Coastal School of Law.  In 2008, Will took more than a year off his studies while serving as a rifleman and radio operator in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.  During his time in the USMC, Will maintained a security clearance, received multiple medals and awards, and also worked for the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA.)

After graduating from law school, Will worked as a public defender in Tampa and as a court appointed attorney in Polk County.  Will has also previously worked as a private criminal defense attorney throughout Florida.  Will has handled, to varying degrees, thousands of cases.  Will also handles both juvenile delinquency cases and high profile media cases. There is no case too large or small for Will to handle.

Will’s work has garnered him attention from several local and even international news organizations.  Due to his hard work and often novel legal arguments, Will has been called upon to lecture to other attorneys and law students at both the Tampa Office of the Public Defender and Florida Coastal School of Law.

Will has devoted his entire professional life to defending individuals who have been accused by the government of committing crimes.  Will promises to treat each of his clients and their families with the dignity and respect that they deserve.  Will also promises to make himself readily available to his clients and their families and to aggressively and diligently defend each case.

Will spends nearly all of his free time with his two young daughters (both under the age of two) and his loving wife, also an attorney.  On the weekends, Will and his family can regularly be found enjoying many of the sights and attractions in the Tampa Bay area.  Will and his family are regular attendees of the Unitarian Universalist Church of Tampa.
