Attorney Nancy cavey in her assistants are amazing they are very helpful. They worked very hard on my wife's social security case. They walked my wife through everything that she needed to know when she went to a hearing. The day of the hearing Nancy Cavey went over everything with my wife before they went in front of the judge. After the judge heard the case Nancy Cavey walked out with my wife and talked to us about what the next steps were and guess what 2 Days Later we received the approval from Social Security. Me and my wife cannot stress enough how helpful Nancy Cavey and her staff are and they also till today still keep in contact with us to see how things are going for us we have never seen any law firm do this for anyone they are very caring once again thank you very much Nancy Cavey and her Law Firm and we would recommend her to anyone with any kind of personal injury or Social Security case she gets the job done!!!!!!!!!!!

DO NOT USE THIS LAWYER!!!
I have never in my life been treated as poorly as I was with this lawyer. I was in a car accident 3 years ago that ruptured 9 of the disks in my spine. Cavey sold the caring lawyer bit well, but after our first meeting when she took on my case and I signed the paperwork, she never once returned my calls. Her assistants or paralegals (I'm not sure what they are) were two of the rudest, least competent women on the planet. I would call in with new medical/Doctor/hospitalization information, questions, or to check on my case and they were often short and NEVER let me speak to the actual attorney.
My case should have been easily approved by round two. I had more than enough medical documentation.
I lost my insurance and access to medical care about halfway through all of this. I begged her assitant to have her call me back, begged them to file for an expedited hearing, and nothing. Absolutely nothing.
I get a letter from Social Security letting me know that my hearing was scheduled. I call again and no calls back, her assistants never offering anything more than like "okay, well I'll take that information and have her call you back." WHICH SHE NEVER DID!!! 10 days before my hearing, still nothing. I called again and I'm begging. I refused to get off the phone until I spoke with her. Her assitant starts screaming at me like some crazy person that I was being uncooperative and that Cavey would no longer represent me. Let me reiterate the the only time I raised my voice was to tell her that there was no reason to yell at me (at which point she hung up). I tried calling back and she kept hanging up on me.
I tried to get another lawyer but no one would take my case until she waived her right to collect a fee on my case. It took me over a week to get that waiver of paper from her office.
I had to make the 4 hour drive to Tampa (I have since moved) for my hearing, with no lawyer. I was granted a continuance and given a copy of my medical records that had been sent it. It was threadbare! Nothing was sent in past the first 3 months after the accident. NONE of dozen or more doctors that I had seen were even contacted. I gathered what I could from every doctor and specialist that I could remember (I get terrible migraines and a large part of my case was how hard it is for me to concentrate and remember things). I tried to gather what I hadn't lost in the mail but it was only about 60% of what should have been in there. My case is now pending while they look over at the stack of documents that I had to scramble to get together.
Whatever you do, do not trust her.

I applied for SSDi and of course was denied I then Hired Nancy Cavey to assist in the reconsideration and the appeal. I hired her as I lived in florida but not in St. Petersburg and had never met her thru the entire process until the hearing just over the phone and trust me I was somewhat nervous about doing that but knew from speaking to her and the office they were caring and determined. The office clearly communicates and responds to you immediately with any questions you have. They made the process as easy as possible and won my case with fully favorable . I would highly recommend her she is fantastic!

After 40+ years of working I found myself with a chronic illness and needing to file for Social security disability. Not knowing how to proceed, I searched online for an attorney and chose Nancy L. Cavey. Her website-CaveyLaw.com-was knowledgeable and I saw she had a high rating on AVVO which influenced my decision. I am both very satisfied and grateful that I chose the office of Cavey Law. Upon my first visit I was presented with information explaining the SSDI process, the most helpful being a book written by Ms Cavey titled " What the Social Security Administration Doesn't Want You To Know." I was assisted by paralegal Stasha. Stasha answered all my questions, communicated with me via phone, letters and e-mail throughout the process, and continually reassured me that although the process is lengthy, I would prevail. And I did, winning my case on appeal. I especially appreciate that Stasha was kind and compassionate during this stressful time. Stasha and the team at Cavey Law exceeded my expectations. I am very satisfied and happy that I chose Nancy L Cavey as my disability attorney. I highly recommend Cavey Law Office.

After reviewing their web site Caveylaw.com I decided to use Nancy for my SSD claim Nancy and her team went above and beyond to answer every question I asked and explain the entire process. Her free booklet on social security was a great help also. I would recommend Nancy to any one needing help filing for Social Security. Don't try it yourself.

I came to Nancy at the end of my rope - and appeal time period - after trying to do a disability insurance appeal myself to receive benefits that I was entitled to and getting only the runaround from the company I paid to protect me if I found myself in this situation. After consulting with Nancy, she quickly submitted the paperwork before the deadline and successfully appealed to the insurance company on my behalf. Thanks to her, I soon received the benefits I was entitled to. I have nothing but positive things to say about my experience with Nancy. If it was not for her, I would not have received a penny of the money that I was rightfully entitled to and my life would have become a financial nightmare. I would recommend her services to anyone who finds themselves in the same position as myself. Also, she and her entire office staff were always very friendly, respectful and pleasant to deal with.

One day I received a letter telling me my long term disability was no longer going to continue payment. They did this a few years after they agreed I`d need and would receive payment till 65 years of age. I went on line and found Nancy`s website,..Caveylaw.com. Her site was so helpful, it outlined everything anyone experiencing this devastating news needs to know.Well, I called right away and all my questions were answered and I was given an appointment the following week.
Anyone who has become disabled after a lifetime of working, knows that there is not anything more stressful and that your anxiety levels are off the charts. Your basic needs can no longer be met without an income. Then after applying for social security disability and you are denied and humiliated you just want to give up. Thats where I was at when I met Nancy. My thoughts & emotions were all over the place and Nancy knew where I was coming from. She understood and she reassured me and led me through the whole process.
Anyone who is experiencing problems with social security disability or their long term disability I encourage you to contact Nancy Cavey. Nancy, without a doubt, will help you through the whole process,I know you will be glad you did.

Her book is excellent. I highly recommend it. It tells you a lot about Social Security Disability if you are new to the process. However, she doesn't adhere by her own words such as she will meet with you and go over your case and decide if she will take it. That never happened. I met with her staff. I signed the contract and was told they would mail it to me. I did sign it but wasn't dated. That is my fault. I was overwhelmed and believed them. I had a bad experience within a few days with no return phone call until 3 days later. To this day, I have never received a copy of the contract after 3 letters sent to the attorney. I had to beg to get my records sent back to me. I never even met her and she fired me by a letter according to what her staff told her. I don't believe she even read the letters I sent to her. I truly believe her staff intercepted them and she never knew the true story. She left me without a lawyer and I was denied and am currently in appeal. I don't have a lawyer. The experience left a distrust for lawyers. Very tough out there getting disability and watch out if you have mental health issues as Atty. Cavey and her staff don't understand or have any sympathy for someone in that state. Hope this helps.
