Very satisfied

I went through Robert Geller to file for Chapter 7 bankruptcy. They were quick to get me an appointment, look through my documents, and get the bankruptcy filed. I was very satisifed with the final results and all of my debt was discharged and I did not have to pay a lot out of pocket. Overall it ...was a positive experience during a bad situation.

Customer service can really lack

Obviously, I hired an attorney to help with my bankruptcy because I don't understand the process and hired an attorney to help with the process. The receptionists are very nice usually, but sometimes when I email with support or call with a concern or question the question is sometimes not really ans...wered or answered in a condescending tone. There are honestly times I will google questions to try and find the answers so I don't have to deal with the attorney's sometimes. Which makes me wonder why I hired one in the first place. I found that Frank who I have gotten a few times if really nice though and puts me at ease. Even though I have been in my chapter 13 for a little while things come up and I am nervous about doing it the right way and find that I am not really getting that much help. So, I just make my payments and go it alone. I do wish my attorney was Frank he seems better at answering my often nervous questions without making me feel like I am just wasting their time. I am not the expert on this and find it not really helpful if you have any questions as changes happen or life events happen.

Proceed with Caution!!

I would not recommend Mr. Geller. He is inattentive to my case. Furthermore, it seems like the girls in his office are the one's that did all the work on my case. I could give more details but won't for fear of reprisal. Geller is not transparent in his work. I do not trust him and wish I had never u...sed him for my bankruptcy.

I am very sorry you felt this way about me and my office. Quite frankly I am very surprised. It has been my experience from hiring legal assistants in the past that worked for other firms, that when they worked for the other firms, the assistants would meet with the initial client, meet with the client when they sign their bankruptcy case and some firms even send people who are not with the firm to attend court. It has been my practice to be different. A lawyer from our firm meets with all new clients not a legal assistant. A lawyer meets with the client when they sign their bankruptcy petition and we do not send someone to court other than a lawyer from our firm. Most clients are surprised with the amount of time lawyers in my firm spend with them including myself! Other lawyers who practice bankruptcy ask me why I spend so much time with my clients? The answer is simple, it is the right thing to do and I would not have it any other way! Yes I have an excellent staff that does a lot for my clients but they only do procedural work on the cases, I always make it my practice to meet with clients and answer their questions. Whoever wrote this comment did not mention that their bankruptcy was done improperly or that they did not get a discharge. I think there was some honest misunderstanding and I would hope this person would contact me personally so I could make it right!.
