We hired Christie Arkovich to help us with a mortgage problem. Another attorney had taken a lot of our time and money and gotten nowhere. Christie was extremely knowledgable and explained our options and the pros and cons of each. When we decided which was right for us, she guided us through the st...eps and always answered our calls and emails promptly. We reached a settlement that we were very satisfied with and thought her fees were very reasonable. She was always very pleasant, encouraging and professional. She's the opposite of all the bad jokes you hear about lawyers!

Not only did she not accomplish what she claimed she could/would do, she made my situation worse. Documents were filed w/ wrong agencies; funds paid over the years were misidentified; Review of loans never accomplished; and when I couldn't throw more money at her, she walked away when she assured me ...she would continue on based on the money I had paid her upfront. I had stressed from the beginning that no matter what I did not want to be put in the position that I would have to consolidate, which only adds more money to the SL debt, but also restarts the clock. She assured me that would not happen, but in fact that is exactly what did happen. Unscrupulous? Not competent? Distracted? I don't know. I just know she did me and my SL a great disservice.
