Bankruptcy Case

I was in a mess financially & feared having to be in debt for a very long time. Sean took my case. He Arlene & their staff worked thoroughly [keeping me well informed every step of the way]. They were knowledgeable and well prepared for the process. My case is now closed and I am today financially st...able!

Personal Bankruptcy - Chapter 7

My previous experience with attorneys had been years ago and were friends that I had grown up with in another part of the State. Naturally at first I was somewhat apprehensive dealing with someone that I did not know. As time went by, it was quite evident that his staff was extremely helpful and... informative. There was a "slight glitch" on my part during the Hearing which Mr. Koplow handled very skillfully. I would highly recommend Sean Koplow to anyone for Bankruptcy Proceedings.

Bankruptcy attorney

I actually have referred other people to Mr. Koplow's office. He & his team did everything they said they would, in a timely manner. If I had a question, or my wife had a question; someone always answered it in layman's terms. If they didn't have the answer, they sure got back to us quickly. I read t...hat one 'poor' review & find it very hard that we are talking about the same firm. I was frazzeled one day when I had to turn in my "test" that you are required to take at the end of bankruptcy ( because I got lost) , and they told me to calm down & relax, I hadn't missed the deadline! Whew, load of our backs!

At first all was fine.....

At first all was fine and he seemed really knowledgeable and responsive, but when I first received a payment delinquent notice from the trustee my antenna went up. And , yes my payments were being made in a timely manner. After being assured from Koplow's office that payments had made to the trustee ...on time. I then received a notice of dismissal for my case. At this time, Koplow's office did not respond to e-mails or phone calls. I wrote and sent a certified letter to the trustee as well as Koplow's office stating that my payments were being made on time and I should not be penalized for his employees inefficiency. When I checked my online banking statement I realized that my checks were not getting processed in a timely manner ( most of them 3-4 weeks after I had sent them to him.) I then received a notice from the trustee that the dismissal had been dropped. At this time I still have had no communication from his office and my phone calls have not been returned.

Never Again Will I Hire a Lawyer from a Coupon Mailer

Though I usually rely strictly on recommendations when hiring a doctor or lawyer, I hired Mr. Koplow based upon, I hate to admit it, a Valpak coupon I received in the mail (blushing...). Yes, its true. declaring bankruptcy was for me simply humiliating, and there was simply no one that I could go to,... friends or relatives, who I felt comfortable enough with to confide my personal financial misery to. So i called Mr. Koplow from a coupon I got in the mail. So i must accept full responsibility. It would not have been so bad, but Mr. Koplow was virtually impossible to get a hold of. Once retained, he was almost always out of the office, and I had to leave a message, message after message, and no call back. Maybe its me, but I like to know whats happening when it relates to me. With Mr. Koplow however, this was just not possible. he would assure me to just "trust" him, that he would take care of everything, but Im sorry, that is just not acceptable to me. Im still in the middle of my case, and Im receiving mailings from the bankruptcy Court, and though I consider myself a fairly intelligent person, I just don't understand it all. When you hire a lawyer, as far as I always understood, he should keep you informed about the progress of your case. Im not a pest, but every time I call his office now, thats the feeling that I have. Its an extremely uncomfortable feeling. Would I ever hire another lawyer again from a slick coupon mailer? The answer should be obvious.
