Pamela Higer Polani was born in Miami, Florida in 1969. Her family moved to the Boca Raton area after Hurricane Andrew devastated their home. Mrs. Polani began attending the University of Florida for undergraduate and graduate work in 1987. In only 2 ½ years, she received her Bachelor of Arts degree in English with a double minor in Jewish Studies and American History. Upon graduation, Pamela then pursued and achieved a Masters Degree in Speech Communications from the University of Florida in 1991. While at University of Florida, she was a member of the Alpha Epsilon Phi Sorority, the University of Florida Debate Team, and a member of the Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society.
Prior to attending law school, Mrs. Polani took a hiatus and worked for a year as an operations manager for an import/export company to save towards her law school tuition. In 1992, Mrs. Polani attended law school and received her Juris Doctorate from Nova University in 1994. While there she was an elected member of the student government, and recognized by her professors for two years of academic excellence as a Goodwin Scholar.
Before graduating, she began working as an intern for the State Attorneys’ office.
After graduation, Mrs. Polani continued to work as a prosecutor for the State Attorneys’ office until she moved to Israel, with her husband. A year later, Ms. Polani sat for the Israeli bar for foreign attorneys and began her stagierre for the well-known Israeli commercial litigator, Dan Offer. Ms. Polani completed her internship with same law office in Tel Aviv, until going to work for a large technical and marketing writing company,in Ra’anna, Israel, as their in-house counsel and operations manager.
When Mrs. Polani returned to the United States with her growing family, she began working for a small boutique firm in Boca Raton, helping with their litigation department and practicing personal injury law, workers' compensation law, and probate and elder law. Pamela began her own firm in 2002, after the birth of her second son. She works with several internet start-up companies in Israel, assisting with their international contractual needs. Mrs. Polani also continues to practice will and estate planning, guardianship and probate issues relevant to Florida residents.
Mrs. Polani is very involved with many charitable activities in the South Florida community. Her husband, Mark, is a general contractor with a well-known South Florida firm and currently sits on the Board for B’nai Torah Congregation. The Florida Association of Women’s Lawyers, named Attorney Polani, as the 2013-2014 Outstanding Member. Attorney Polani also created a unique program, modeled after “Jeopardy”, to teach high school seniors their legal rights as adults. Mrs. Polani is currently the Chairperson of the National Walk to End Alzheimer’s Disease in Boca Raton. Among several other organizations, she serves on the Professional Advisory Committee for the National Holocaust Museum, Hadassah’s Professional Committee and the Scholastic Advisory Committee at Don Estridge High Tech Middle School. Soroptomist International also designated Attorney Polani as their "Woman of Distinction" in 2014.
