Georgia T. Newman is a strong and aggressive advocate for her client's rights. She prides herself on her accessibility to clients, knowledge of the law and positive results. Her practice is limited solely to marital and family law.


Georgia Newman has more than two decades of legal experience.  Before opening her own firm, Ms. Newman practiced sophisticated and complex family law with the firm of Fisher & Bendeck in West Palm Beach and Abrams and Abrams in Miami.

She was also in-house counsel to AmeriFirst Federal Savings and Loan in Miami. 


Ms. Newman is the President of the Craig S. Barnard American Inn of Court,  the past Chair of the Continuing Legal Education Committee of the Palm Beach County Bar Association, a former executive board member of the Florida Association for Women Lawyers, Palm Beach County Chapter.  She is a member of the Family Law Section of the Florida Bar, the Palm Beach County Bar Association, North County Section of the Palm Beach County Bar Association, the Professionalism,  and the Unified Family Practice committees of the Palm Beach County Bar Association. 

Mrs. Newman has an AV Preeminent rating from Martindale-Hubbell and has been recognized as a  Super Lawyer in 2014. She is a 2013 Florida Legal Elite member named by Florida Trend Magazine.  The attorneys named as Legal Elite represent approximately 2% of active Florida lawyers. Mrs. Newman was featured in Attorney At Law Magazine  - Attorneys to Watch in 2014.


Ms. Newman graduated in the top 10% of her law school class from the University of Florida, Holland Law Center, Gainesville, Florida.  During law school Ms. Newman served as Executive Editor of Law Review, she received the Foundation Press Award for Jurisprudence and Honors in both Appellate Advocacy and in Legal Writing.  Ms. Newman attended college at the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida where she graduated magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa.  Ms. Newman has lectured and written articles on various family law issues.   Ms. Newman has been appointed as attorney ad litem for children in high conflict divorces and is a trained guardian ad litem.
