I had a very frustrating experience with Alex Weisberg of The Weisberg Consumer Law Group. From the very beginning, they were not upfront about their fees, which made me feel uneasy about the whole process. On their website it explicably states, “Who Pays the Lemon Law Lawyer?
Not you, no matter wha...t, with Weisberg Consumer Law Group.” This is untrue. I paid $2,000 for this Lemon Law Lawyer.
Additionally, the initial demand letter they sent me was clearly a generic, copy-and-paste template. Not only was it unprofessional, but it also had several glaring errors, including the wrong vehicle year, model, and VIN. Thankfully, I caught those mistakes, but it really made me question the quality of their work.
The biggest issue, though, was the lack of effort when it came to my case. I had to fight for mileage adjustments, which they showed no interest in pursuing. I had to do all my own research and make multiple requests to get this addressed. It felt like I was doing all the heavy lifting while they just sat back. I expected more from a professional service, especially when dealing with something as important as a lemon law case.
To make matters worse, I never received an itemized bill for their services. I had no clear understanding of what I was being charged for or whether their fees were reasonable. And when it was finally time for my buyback check to be disbursed, it was mailed to me without any sign-on delivery service. It was a windy, rainy day, and I found the check buried in my front bushes! This could have easily been an e-transfer, so the whole situation felt unnecessarily disorganized and unprofessional.
Overall, I am extremely dissatisfied with my experience. I expected more transparency, professionalism, and effort, especially given the importance of lemon law cases. Unfortunately, I can't recommend this lawyer based on my experience.
