Representation in DUI case. Good Outcome.

In early 2012 i was arrested on a DUI in Fla on an out of state license. Based on Larry's advice i could make a "pleas in absentia" (not sure of the exact legal term) and have him represent me in all court proceedings. This allowed me to forgo numerous airfares and eliminate any potential conflicts... with work. Our relationship was largely by phone with one face to face meeting to review the arrest video and plan a strategy. Larry was confident but never over-promised. He had great knowledge of the Fla DUI laws and the judicial process surrounding them. Without going to trial the DUI charges were dropped to Reckless Driving. I felt comfortable with the Lawyer/Client relationship and felt i was represented very well. I would recommend Larry to anyone who finds themselves in a similar situation.

Experienced, straightforward and dedicated

I write this review to recommend Larry Meltzer to anyone who is looking for legal counsel. I came to Larry a day after being arrested for a DUI. Up until this point the most interaction I have had with the police and legal system was for a speeding and parking tickets. Needless to say I was unsure... and nervous about what would happen next and the effect on my career and personal life. The first meeting with Larry involved him detailing step by step for me and my fiancé how the process would work. He did not over promise or oversell his skills but instead laid out our plan and all possible outcomes. His experience in DUI cases quickly put us at ease. Over the course of the following months Larry prepared my case and handled everything that needed to be handled without me ever needing to step into a courtroom. When it came for the time to set a trial Larry knew the judge and the prosecuting attorney. His familiarity with the all the players gave me the confidence that I had the “right guy” representing me and the willingness to take the case to trial if the prosecutor did not accept our plea. Larry called me several days prior to the trial to let me know that we had reached a settlement for a reduction of charges to a reckless driving. I have no doubt that a lesser attorney would not have been able to get this outcome for me. If not for Larry’s familiarity with the Broward court system, DUI cases, confidence and record of success I very possibly could have a DUI on my record. The day of the trial it was obvious that Larry was known and respected by everyone in the courtroom. He had me prepared for what would occur during the trial and made a very stressful time as comfortable as possible. After the trial was over Larry took the time to ensure that I found where to pay court fees and fines and even walked me to the probation office. This isn’t the last I’ll speak to Larry though because he made sure to let me know that I can reach out to him in four months when he can attempt to end my probation early. Overall, the best recommendation I can give Larry is that if I ever have a friend or family member in need of an attorney for any reason I would quickly refer him. I owe a lot to Larry. Not only did he help me get a positive resolution to my case but he assisted in making the time prior to the case less stressful. It was obvious to me that Larry cared more about helping me protect my future than he did about collecting a fee.

DUI Attorney

I hired Larry after being charged with a DUI. He was the first attorney I ever hired. Being charged with a DUI made me very nervous and upset especially under the circumstances involved in charging me. I own a small business that employes as many as 6 employees and have a class 2 driving license, I h...ad a lot to loose. Larry listened to me, understood my health problems and situation, took the case to the brink of trial and settled prior to trial favorably along with me to a much reduced charge. During the time from my hiring Larry to the time of settlement, he kept me at informed and at ease. His staff was a phone call away and I received their number along with Larry's to call with related questions when needed. Hats off to his staff who was always polite and returned my questions with an answer within a day if not sooner. In a nut shell I recommend the firm Parks and Braxton and if you can, insist on Lawrence Michael Meltzer for your attorney.

DUI reduced to reckless

I hired Larry in April, after being arrested on DUI charges. I am a nurse and was in fear of possible loosing my nursing license and being kicked out of school, where I just started a Master's program. Larry was very reassuring and did everything he could to get my charges reduced in a county that d...oes not easily reduce charges (Pinellas). Larry was very upfront and told me he felt that I had a great case that we had the possibility to win. Yet he also informed me of the possibilities if we were to lose the case. He did not push for taking it to court or taking the reduction, rather he gave me the information needed to make a well informed decision. He maintained that he would be behind me 100% if I decided for going to trial. Ultimately I felt it was in my best interest to take the reduction, because I felt I had to much to risk if I were to loose the trial. If I was not currently in school I would have went to trial confident with Larry as my attorney. I thank him for his help in reducing my charges and possibly saving my career.

Hardworking, Dependable , Reliable Attorney

Larry came to me very highly recommended from another lawyer as the guy to have in your corner , especially if we every had to go to trial . I wanted to have "The Guy " for DUI's on my team and I knew this to be the case once I met Larry. I wanted the lawyer who did DUI's as their expertise and no...t as an add on to their practice. When I met Larry he told me that exactly and he explained my case and the details of what to expect along the way. He kept me informed and calm during the entire process and allowed me to ask all the questions that I am sure he has heard a millions times as day. I didn't want to feel like I was just another case to him and I certainly was not..! Larry explained different cases he has been involved in and what the different outcomes have been and could be so I knew he had the experience I was looking for. He has seen it all.. I highly recommend Larry and his office if you are in need of a Great DUI guy and team to support you.
