About me

I began my legal career in my native country, Colombia, where I obtained a law degree in 2002.  I later moved to Miami where I worked as a paralegal prior to pursuing my law degree at the University of Miami School of Law.  While in law shcool, I was a Legal Intern to Judge Shelby Highsmith of the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida, as well as to the Legal Bureau at the Miami-Dade Police Department.  After obtaining my law degree cum laude I continued to work with MDPD as an Attorney until July 2009 when I went into private practice specializing in all aspects of employment law both for employers and employees.
