Prior to entering priviate practice in 2012 I was an Assistant Public Defender (APD) for almost six years. I began my carrer as an APD in Indian River County and after a year moved home to become an APD in Brevard County. I was, and always have been, dedicated to helping those accused of criminal offenses. During all but five months of my time as an APD I was in the felony division handling everything from murder cases, capital sexual battery, trafficing in illegal substances, gun crimes, and a whole range of other serious felony cases. I have handled numerous Habitual Felony Offender (HFO), Habitual Violent Felony Offender (HVFO), and Prision Releasee Reoffender (PRR) cases. Additionally, I have tried over thirty cases to a jury and handled thousands upon thousands of cases during my career. Since my move to private practice things haven't slowed down much. Even though I stay busy, I find that in private practice I am able to have fewer clients and devote more of my time and attention to each of them. I find that this creates a more effective and meaningful relationship with those I represent.
