Erin F. Duncan, Esquire
Erin is using her skills and experience in Marital and Family Law matters to help Central Florida families cope with Divorce, Child Support, Adoption, Mediation, and Paternity issues.
Erin earned her J.D. from Florida A&M University College of Law after spending several years as a paralegal in the areas of family, juvenile, dependency and criminal law. Prior to graduating law school, Erin served as a Certified Legal Intern at the Seminole County Public Defender's Office and became a certified Parenting Coordinator. Erin joined the Florida Bar in the spring of 2008 and served as a Florida Supreme Court Certified Family Law Mediator from that time until 2014.
After working for various attorneys in Central Florida, Erin became convinced that most people only needed the help of attorney for a short period of time, not forever. As a result, her primary focus at Family Legal Options was on family law issues from the perspective of limited representation. This objective continues where it can be utilized and full-service representation is always available.
Erin is a proud participant in several organizations developed to improve the skills and professionalism of the Bar at local and national levels. She developed relationships with Central Florida’s highly regarded family law practitioners, mental health experts, financial experts and mediators provide her with the expansive support system she offers her clients dealing with difficult or specialized issues. She demands civility in her clients and excellence in herself. Clients can expect Erin to work with them through legal and personal challenges as well as provide support and advice throughout the process. Erin has an outstanding reputation with past and present clients, her colleagues and peers. She stands by the premise that there are no winners in family law cases – families either grow through the inevitable change that litigation brings or are devastated by it. Erin’s insight, direction and no-nonsense approach have helped her clients find creative and innovative solutions to their legal difficulties.
