Great attorney

I retained the Ivanor Law Firm to represent me in my deportation case. Carlos, was very friendly and always well prepared. He always answered all of my questions and is very professional. He knows alot when it comes to immigration law. He is great in trial and convinced the judge to cancel my dep...ortation. He also speaks Spanish and English fluently. No matter the time of day he would always answer my calls promptly. I was very lucky to have him as my attorney and would recommend his services to anyone. Do no hestiate to contact this attorney if you ever have the need for a high quality attorney who is honest and reputable.

I was charged with a very serious offense. I was looking at a 10yr. minimum mandatory sentence. Mr. Ivanor worked very hard and was always prepared. He obtained a probationary sentence for me and I am very very very happy with his representation. He filed numerous motion in court and was even suc...cessful in arguing motion to suppress. He is an excellent attorney and goes above and beyond. He is one of the best attorney in Orlando, Florida. I would recommend Mr. Ivanor to anyone who was charged with a crime.

Worst experience ever

No free consultation, at least in my family case. Once I decided to hire him because of the reasonable price, that price is just the beginning of a long history; I was charged for every chat with his paralegal assistant (very expensive), even for a "call me back" at $17.50. He didn't send me ...a contract for me to know the fees and duties. Normally, a standard contract with a lawyer should specify the services being provided, the fee structure (such as hourly rates or flat fees), payment schedules, what happens if you need a payment plan, and your rights and responsibilities as a client. It should also clarify any extra charges, procedures for withdrawing representation, and what happens if either party needs to end the agreement. Without this contract, you are left guessing about all the important details. But the worst part is that he will accept any proposal coming from the other party without any objection, which means he is not paying attention to your interests. There was no payment plan option, or maybe yes, but I didn't have the contract, and he threatened me every day with withdrawal as counsel if I do not replenish funds with $1500 at all times. A day before a hearing, he threatened me again. At that time, I had already been paid 3 times the beginning price, and at this hearing, we will probably solve one of the three matters pending. And he didn't take this case from the beginning, almost everything was done, I just need a court representation. It took a long time (months) to resolve one of the three conflicts for which he was hired, but resolving his withdrawal was really quick (few days). He won't not to respect you as a client; he will even yell at you, and he will offend you. Of course, nobody works for free, but reasonably, it has a meaning; it is not just a world to ignore. No empathy, you are just a piece of meat, or just a check, even when he knows there is a child in the middle of a conflict. A little love for your profession will be fine too. Ethical guidelines shouldn't be ignore. You should be professional at all times. You are an attorney not a prosecutor.

Mr. Rissel Fernandez, you are writing a negative review because you did not want to pay an attorney to complete your case. Also, it is clearly stated on our website, and we tell all clients we do charge for immigration and family consultations and offer free consultations for criminal cases. Sometimes clients' themselves make their situations worse by acting against their own attorneys, which was what you did throughout your case. You would even request that we not review documents and pleadings in your case, like the parenting plan because you did not think it was worth it for us to do our job, for you to avoid paying the legal fees. You went behind our back and sent emails to exwife's lawyer. Yes, we do have multiple attorneys. One other attorney and a paralegal handled your case. While I supervised your case throughout. When we discussed my hourly fees you did not want to pay it and always asked for discounts, we sent you a contract, and we have a signed contract by you clearly explaining everything. The other attorney that assisted you and in fact won your hearing in court. Florida requires Attorneys to charge hourly for family cases. Just like you we all work for a living. So, when you have to go drive your truck to work you don't expect to get paid for your services? We even gave you money back which we considered was the right thing to do for the unearned fees that we thought you merited back. You became obnoxious and dismissive every time we gave you legal advice and would not want to pay for work. I am sorry you feel miserable about your experience with the law firm. Sometimes you cannot make everyone happy that you have to represent in a difficult case. But you have to agree that we won your hearing in court which speaks loudly as to all issues you complain about here. If you want to have a civil conversation please call me at anytime or email me. Life is too short to be angry and blaming others for your failures and shortcomings.

I take all of the cases I am hired on seriously and try my best to be prepared for all cases. I do not know who posted this comment, since it was posted anonymously. I do not know if this is even an actual client or someone else with an ulterior motive. Regardless, I do not know how an attorney can make a case worse for a client, could this person please elaborate? If there is ever an issue with my professional representation, I encourage the client to contact me to see what we can do to make things right. We always strive to properly represent all of our clients to the best of our abilities. An attorney takes a case with the facts already created and some cases are a lot harder than others. I have been an attorney for 17 years and understand that no one can make a person happy 100% of the time. Please reach out to me: civanor@ivanorlaw.com or 407-255-2065 to discuss your case.
