A Second Chance

Four months ago, I was made aware that I was under investigation by the police for some very serious charges. There weren't any formal charges filed against me as of that point, so I searched around and talked to as many criminal defense attorneys as I could find. Corey's stellar reviews and reputati...on among not only former clients, but other attorneys in the area, made me reach out to him for a consultation. I spoke to upwards of a dozen attorneys, all of whom claimed that there probably wasn't much that they could do to help me. In our first conversation, Corey assured me that he would be glad to take on my case and that he was very optimistic about the circumstances. I hired him within a day. He recognized the importance of the fact that criminal charges were not filed against me as of yet, and set forth a plan to stop the charges before they were even filed. Together, we established a link of communication and rapport with the investigating police officers and provided them with a long list of mitigating circumstances. Four months passed in which the investigation continued, all the while I did not know what was going to happen to me. I woke up to an email today from Mr. Cohen stating that the officers, based on the information we provided to them, decided to drop the investigation entirely. I was previously a pre-medical student with dreams of becoming a doctor, and have been working on a biomedical sciences degree for four years. I am very involved in the university at which I attend, and have held numerous positions in volunteering, leadership, and community outreach. With these possible charges, I was facing a lifetime on the sex offender registry and possibly up to 15 years in a state prison. Corey Cohen was able to secure my future, and prevent me from ever having a record at all. I am thoroughly convinced that his professional relationships, as well as his experience, prevented this from moving forward. The four months waiting for a resolution was the darkest time in my life - I thought things were never going to be the same. But the one beacon of hope that I did have throughout the process was knowing that Mr. Cohen was my only friend and that he had my back. Thanks to this process, I have a newfound respect for the criminal defense system. I have left my pre-medical goals of becoming a doctor and have switched to pre-law in hopes that some day, I can be there for someone and make a positive change for someone who desperately needs it - just as Mr. Cohen did for me. Extremely trustworthy and prompt

I was on a family vacation and got into some legal trouble. As I returned home I started searching local Orlando attorneys and came across Mr Cohen. I contacted his office on a Sunday morning and within miniutes I had a text from him asking about my case. He calmed me down and told me everything woul...d be ok and we will chat via phone the following day at 10 am. The following morning I spoke with Mr Cohen on the phone and he was very polite and listened to me explain my case. After I told him what happened he said he was pretty sure he could get the charges dropped or reduced. From that point on his office was extremely prompt in getting me all the necessary paper to fill out and if I had emailed a questions I had a response within 5 miniutes. Mr Cohen was able to get all my charges dropped which was great news for my family and I. Everybody at his firm is top notch and are great people to deal with. I would Recomend Mr Cohen to anybody needing legal advice in central Florida.

In times of disparity don’t make a desperate decision make the “RIGHT” one

Unfortunately over the past two years I have found myself in a number of legal issues. I will never forget the first consultation I had with Mr. Cohen. Getting straight to the point with everything he went as far as directly contacting the prosecutor in my presence assuring me that he would get every...thing taken care of. My first case with him included a second offense DUI and second case three felony charges with one misdemeanor. Anytime I had questions emails were answered within a very timely manner. All third-degree felonies were dropped and pled to two misdemeanor charges with adjudication withheld! It doesn’t stop there the second DUI reduced to reckless driving. Never once should you question the reliability or knowledge of your private attorney, expect nothing but top-notch representation when you hire Mr. Cohen and his law firm. Finding myself yet in another pickle and picked up on a warrant. While incarcerated my mother grabbed the phone and knew exactly who to call! With no surplus of funds for unplanned emergencies Mr. Cohen took the case without hesitation and made a very practical affordable payment plan for us. Mistakes in life are made, learn from them never let them define you and always progress in life there is a light at the end of every tunnel. Mr.Cohen gets the best results when mistakes are made just don’t make the same mistake twice because at that point it’s no longer a mistake it’s a decision. I am writing this review as he’s handling another case for me which may have to go to trail. However I cannot wait to get back on avvo to write another review about his unmatched unparalleled representation! Words can not be orchestrated to show how thankful we are for Mr.Cohen and his team! The best criminal defense lawyer in Orlando!

I highly recommend Mr. Corey I. Cohen for anyone who is seeking a professional lawyer at that time. I had a domestic violance case pending, and after I got released from the jail I had a chance to talk to Nicole, Mr. Corey I. Cohen assistant, who explained to me everything, she was very helpful and a...nswered all my questions. Once they received all the papers from me, it took Mr. Cohen less than 2 weeks to have all the charges against me dropped. So, thank you, Corey I. Cohen law offices.
