Despite that, I was handcuffed for hours, subjected to extensive testing, and held until around 2:00 a.m. The entire situation felt excessive and humiliating. Ironically, weeks later, a new law was passed stating that smell alone is not enough for an arrest. What disappointed me most was my experience with Matthew. Instead of aggressively fighting what I believed was a weak case, I felt pressured into accepting a plea deal. I repeatedly expressed concern about the impact a DUI could have on my professional career, and I felt that fear was used against me to push me toward signing the agreement rather than taking the case to trial. As a result, I am now on probation, attending classes, and spending thousands of additional dollars despite there being no evidence of impairment beyond the officer’s subjective opinion. The entire experience has felt more like a money-driven system than justice. Looking back, I regret hiring him and genuinely feel I could have advocated for myself more effectively.

The reviews for Matt must be paid for as none of them reflect the dire representation I received. What Matt does not understand is that when he is being paid by you, he works for you. But no, he dictates the process and makes you feel like you should be grateful if he ever responds to you. His commun...ication is the worst I have ever experienced with anybody in any form of professional field. The case gets neglected, motions to continue constantly because he has done no work on the case and then overall, the worst result I could have gotten (a public defender would have gotten better). I was represented in court by somebody else, who themselves was clueless, was wearing a pony tail and awfully tired suit - I was extremely embarrassed in court with that representation. I urge you, if you are reading this, PLEASE take your business elsewhere if you want a genuinely good attorney, Matt is not one. And as for the good reviews, they cannot possibly be real.

Over $4k and I have had to deal with a mess he's left behind, 2yrs suspended license. All he does is plea no contest, does not put up a legitimate argument. Asks you to just take whatever the state gives you, I had him fight back and did not accept then charges were dismissed but improperly. You'll n...eed to do his job for him and I hope you all save your $.

We had the worst experience in our lives with his office personnel. We only had his service for a day because the office clerk are very rude and has attitude. They gave me a hard time to even refund my money. No way if you want good reviews everyone has to polite, courteous, has manners, be respectfu...l and has the skills to do customer service. I will never recommend this law firm.
