About Sultana Haque

About me

With her name literally translated into “Queen of Justice” (“Sultana” means “queen” and “Haque” means “justice”), it may have been fate that Sultana Haque wound up as an attorney.

After earning her law degree in 2008, Sultana received a master’s of business administration from University of Central Florida. in 2009    For a year thereafter, Sultana worked for a small-to-mid-size law firm in Orlando, where she learned the basics of litigation and civil procedure.  During that period, Sultana prepared for – and passed – the New York bar exam.

With the proper foundations in place, Sultana’s entrepreneurial spirit really kicked in, and she formed Sultana Law, P.A. Sultana intends to strengthen and maintain her practice in Orlando, which is home to both her and her family.

Sultana is licensed to practice law in Florida, New York and before the Federal Court - Middle District Court of Florida.  She is active in Orange County's legal community and sits on the board of directors of the Central Florida Women's Resource Center.

In February 2009, she won second place in UCF's elevator pitch competition, King of the Court, pitching a start-up company to investors. While in law school Sultana interned as a law clerk for the Honorable Faye Allen of the Ninth Circuit Court and completed three transactional law clinics. She earned two book awards for achieving the highest grade in both of her research and writing courses. Sultana currently serves as a  judge and jury advisor for Orange County Teen Court.

She was born and raised in The Hague, The Netherlands and speaks Dutch fluently. Sultana enjoys traveling, Spanish Flamenco, international cuisine and the company of good friends and her beloved dog Bella.
