I am a University colleague and fellow member of the psychology department board at University of Florida, of which Tom is Chair. Thus, when my wife and I needed assistance setting up our wills, living wills, a trusteeship, etc, we went right to Tom and were definitely not disappointed! Tom was con...sistently cordial, well prepared for every one of our several visits, fully able to answer every question, and provided us with all the documents we needed. And when a change in the law several years later indicated we should consider modifying some of our documents, Tom informed us (we certainly were not aware of this change!), and made sure our material was fully compliant with the changes. This personal service was very much appreciated!

My wife and I use Mr. Pye for all things that we need related to estate planning, including wills, powers of attorney and advice as to how to plan for distribution of our assets upon our deaths. I have worked in one way or another with attorneys as part of my job for more than three decades in the a...reas of contract law, personnel matters and intellectual property protection. This has exposed me to a range of knowledge, ability, conscientiousness, integrity and efficiency. Some of the attorneys I worked with were superb, others not so much and one or two were inadequate. Although these were business relationships this experience enables me to evaluate whether or not an attorney is one who represents his or her client's interests effectively and with concern for the particular needs of that client. Mr. Pye is one of the best I've dealt with. I am particularly impressed with how well he stays current with changes in the law that might effect us. As an example he recently brought changes in the Florida statutes concerning powers of attorney to our attention. This was important information and allowed us to have him draft new POIs that, if needed, will save us considerable difficulty. I have enough experience to be able to read statutes and this was a necessary change that we would have missed without his diligence and is certainly not the type of work that nets attorneys an substantial fee. Pye has also worked very well with our financial advisor although that person is located out-of-state. That that interaction was effective was important in planning our wills. I have every reason to give Thomas Pye my highest recommendation.

Pardon the familiarity but Tom is not a "Mr. Pye Kind of Guy". (Rhyme intended!) Oh sure, he deserves to be addressed as "Mr." Pye, but he's so down to earth and accessible, one feels instantly at ease upon first meeting him. And isn't that an important attribute for someone you will entrust with imp...ortant and sometimes painful personal information? Oh, I know. "Nice guys finish last!" Tom shreds that stereotype with relish. Competency trumps personality almost every time, but in Tom's cast he gets an A+ on both accounts. He's served as my personal and business attorney since 1997, handling wills; business accounts and providing me invaluable legal advice on occasion (sans the dreaded "legaleaze") distilled down to easily-understood advice (which I always heed)! That's his story from my perspective and I'm stickin' to it!!
