As this is the only incident I have had with the law I was quite in the dark regarding the process of retaining the services of a lawyer (experience, cost, questions, etc). After consulting with 6 other attorneys I had the opportunity to walk into Nicks office. It only took a few minutes with Nick an...d I knew he was going to represent me better than the other lawyers I had meet and we would have a great working relationship. Although all of the others were well qualified, many with more years of practicing under their belt, Nick seemed to have a way about him which made my situation much easier to break down and helped me understand my options. He never made a promise he couldn't keep and provided invaluable advise and direction. He let his previous work and reputation sell himself while others I interviewed boasted of their experience and relationships which could provide an upper hand in my case. Nick has the same experience and relationships but he didn't use that to sell himself, it seemed to just happen naturally. What was supposed to be a half hour consult turned into as long as was required to give me peace of mind and a level of comfort. If I ever had a question he was there to answer, I have spoken with him as early as 7AM and as late as 11PM. When he told me he would always be available during our first meeting he kept to his word and I rarely had to wait more than an hour for a response. Even if he was in court he would let me know when he could contact me. His diligent research into my case and his knowledge of the law resulted in my case being reduced to charges I would have never thought possible. He has remained in contact even after the case was over and is always willing to take a phone call or have a meeting if I have any questions. After speaking with his peers and other legal professionals in the system Nick is easily in the top 10 most qualified lawyers in Alachua county and I would recommend his representation to anyone who requires legal representation.
