JRB Is An Amazing Attorney

James R. Barnes is an amazing attorney who will do everything to help his client receive a fair outcome. He's passionate about the law, not afraid of the courtroom, or going to trial. He cares for his clients. Criminal defense is a difficult process. Like it or not, people are guilty until proven inn...ocent in our judicial system, and Mr. Barnes will do all he can to help his client. Mr. Barnes says , "I'll take it from here." Well, I don't have much faith in the average person, but for some reason I trusted him. I'm glad that I did. My son's case was a mess and was complicated. I was in poor health, so when Mr. Barnes agreed to take the case, I left it to him. (Out of desperation, at the courthouse, I ambushed him with my son's case. He could have said no.) I told him not to waste time contacting me unless he needed something from me. Once the case was over, my son and I were more than pleased. No, it wasn't a perfect ending, but it could have been so very much worse had Mr. Barnes not been there. Remember, Mr. Barnes isn't a babysitter, not there to hold your hand, or be your buddy, but that doesn't mean he doesn't care. He has other clients. If he's late for court - he's in another courtroom and has called the court and informed them he is delayed; if he doesn't call a client on a weekly basis - he's engaged solving the case; if bothered daily - time is taken away from helping his clients; and last, but not least - if he calls everyone with weekly updates - he can't concentrate on saving his client from a detrimental conclusion.

A Grateful Mother

I hired Mr. Barnes to represent my son on a VOP and new charge after a close family friend recommended him. I thank God every day she did. Because of the seriousness of the potential consequences, my son had a lot at stake. Mr. Barnes really listened to what I had to say and genuinely wanted to try t...o help my son. I cannot express how that made me feel as a mother. He was upfront and honest with me and walked me through the whole process step by step. Mr. Barnes actually cared about my sons best interest and went above and beyond for the well being of my son. Mr. Barnes worked hard to resolve my sons case, saving him from a possible jail/prison sentence which is what my son was facing. The care and support we received from Mr. Barnes was immense. My son is home and because of Mr. Barnes we can now get back to our lives. My gratefulness to Mr. Barnes can not be measured. I cannot thank him enough.

Best Attorney EVER!!!

I hired Jim when I was in jail for my VOP, and with new law violations. I have had interviews with other attorneys in the area, and no one would even make time to come see me. I was stressed, and never thought I would ever become free again, and then Jim came to see me. He was amazing. He treated me ...like I was an actual person. I am not a bad person, and my ex got me involved into a lot of stuff, and Jim saw that. He saw the real me. Sure things took time while I was in jail, as does everything in the court system, but with my faith, and Jim I was able to get a favorable outcome. Well actually better than that. I got an AMAZING!!! outcome. He really worked hard for me, and became more than an advocate for me, but a great friend that I cherish very much. I understand that there were some negative reviews, but as I always say. "If you don't have haters. You must not be doing something right." Jim is a great attorney, and even though I hope to never need another criminal defense attorney again. I would pick Jim any day of the week. Thanks Jim for everything. Because of you I have turned my life around. I am back in college full time, and have an amazing future ahead of me. All because one person believed in me when no one else would. Thanks, Briar

Immediate Response

James Barnes responded immediately to my call and was able to meet with me the same day within a few hours, on a Friday afternoon. I had been interviewing attorneys most of the week, and had procrastinated my decision until the eleventh hour. Fortunately, improper planning on my part did actually con...stitute an emergency on Mr. Barnes,' as he was able to represent me in court merely days later. I would like to commend James Barnes on his professionalism, attention to detail and his overall legal acumen for producing positive results in my case. I would highly recommend James Barnes as your legal advocate!

Saved me from jail

Mr. Barnes handled my felony DWI charge. A friend recommended him to me. I could not have been more pleased. He worked very hard on my behalf. I was very concerned about facing jail time and called him almost daily. He was always there for me to answer questions and calm me down. I'm not exaggerating... when I say he saved my life. There is no other lawyer I would call if I was in trouble. I walked away a free man and owe it all to Mr. Barnes.
