Great Lawyer!

Mr. Maillet did an overall excellent job on my case! He was very informative and straight up with me the entire time, no sugar coating. He was great about answering his phone (call and text) and would almost always have an answer for any question I threw at him. I had the pleasure to have him defend ...me when I ran into some trouble with the law. Specifically, I was being charged with the possession of and sale of drugs. Mr. Maillet kept in constant contact with both the arresting Officer and District Attorney. He was persistent and kept me informed about newly acquired information and, in a matter of 3 months from my arrest, was able to get my case completely dismissed! On top of everything, I was a college student at the time of my arrest so he was able to work with me on his price and even offered a payment plan which helped tremendously. I would definitely recommend Mr. Maillet to anyone seeking a defense attorney who will give it to you straight and work hard to make sure you get the lowest possible punishment on your charges.

He did an excellent job for my situation

I visited Jarrett for a case on my past DUI case. When I arrived he greeted me with open arms and immediately asked me questions about my situation. I did most of the talking of course and towards the end he then asks me what I expect or what the outcome would be. I told him I just want all of this t...o go away. He proceeded to tell me that he is unable to guarantee me anything or make promises because that isn't professional to be making statements as such. What he did tell me was that he was confident in reducing the charges and get the most minor outcome possible for my given scenario. I'll admit I was skeptical because this was my first offense for anything, and I had never seen or talked to a lawyer before. All I'm familiar with are the stereotypes and the movie Liar Liar. Well fortunately for me Jarrett was not the stereotype and was a huge exception. Every time I called him he either picked up or called me back shortly after that day. He was keep me informed as much as possible and always made sure to assure me of what he believes he can do for me. I'll admit the price was pretty steep, but for me to have my DUI reduced to a Failure to Exercise Due Care, which from my understanding is an offense lower than reckless driving. The only regret I have is not shaking his hand after all was said and done. He even kept contact after the court session which also defines a good person. Regardless of the price, I would pay it again to be free of negativity on my record. Thank you Jarrett once again!

Worth the money

Jarret is worth the money, he knew what he was talking about and was really cautious with a plea deal at first he wanted to see tge evidence and other things regarding my case .It took catham county 3 years to get to my case. When it was all Said and done Jarret advised me that a plea was the best co...urse of action. He negotiated two felony charges to misdemeanor charges. He won't tell you anything if he has no information on your case which is a good thing because it keeps things in perspective. I appreciate his timely reaction to my case when it came up.

Positive results

Response time on text and phone calls wasn’t the best, but overall when it came down to settling my case. Jarrett stepped up on the day of court and got my case handled for me, for that i truly thank you

Avoid hiring Jarrett maillet

When I hired Mr Maillet I was quoted a price of a $2,500 retainer fee, a fee of $5,000 not to go to trial then a fee of $8,500 to go to trial. I hired him in December of 2016 and was never given a copy of our signed contract. Then a year to a year and a half later he started telling me the retainer ...fee was $6,500 then a fee of $6,500 to not go to trial, and $8,500 to go to trial. UM, NOPE! Not according to the price you quoted me on the phone the first time we spoke! Every attorney I spoke to in the Savannah area quoted a retainer price of $2,500, had he told me a retainer of $6,500 he would have most definitely NOT been hired! He would NEVER answer his phone & NEVER return phone calls or messages! He would show up late and after court already started so getting to talk to him about the case was all but in possible! He only went to 3 court dates and totally screwed up at the plea and motions hearing by saying the same thing over and over which resulted in the judge not dismissing the charge. He then withdrew from the case and screwed me out of $2,500 which he didn't earn, didn't even come close to earning. He also at one point told me I didn't pay him, lucky for me I kept the business card he gave me with the price I paid and date wrote on the back of it or he would have screwed me more! Avoid Jarrett Maillet at all cost because if not you'll regret it!
