  • How do I get this case dismissed and removed from my record

I was indicted on theft charges in January of 2012. I have not heard anything from the court or DA office since that time. Does it take this long to hear anything? what is the statute of limitations?

    Phillip’s Answer

If you been indicted and that indictment was filed within four years of the date of the alleged incident, then you do not have a statute of limitations argument. Your lawyer may be able to file a constitutional demand for a speedy trial, if that has not be done - the answer to that question is best answered by your attorney who knows more about your specific facts than any of us on this board.
