  • I'm GA can I get married with a WV marriage licence?

Ok so my fiance is 18 and he is in the army. I'm 15 turning 16 and my parents gave me permission to marry him at 16. If I go and get a marriage licence in WV at 16 (with my parents) can I fly to GA without them and get married with the licence?

    Glen’s Answer

No. You'd have to have a Georgia license and would not be eligible for one. If he assists in this plan he will likely be kicked out of the military and could land in prison. If you think you love him save him from a ruined life and refuse to speak to him again. If he truly loves you he will stay away from you 3 years. If your love is real it will be possible and there when you're 18.

  • How can I

I need to get a divorce from my husband whom I've been separated from for several years now and during the separation back in 2014 him and his girlfriend got sentenced to life in prison for killing my 3 year old son which was his son as well

    Glen’s Answer

A Court will certainly grant a divorce. Given potential complications with anyone in prison it would be prudent to see a lawyer.

    Glen’s Answer

The 401k is likely to get divided and since you out earn him he may have an alimony claim. The 401 division could be a percentage larger or smaller than 50-50. Whether he has a claim on the home depends on details we don't have. You need a lawyer ASAP as his claims may grow with time and your children also make this complicated.
