On the big refund issue not the bankruptcy, I have seen folks get refunds six, seven, twelve thousand dollars. and they plan things around getting that refund in the Spring. However, the refund is not some kind of present, it's the government holding your money. If you increase your exemptions you can get that money in every paycheck instead of waiting for a refund. In the example of a $6000 refund, that's an extra $500 per month in take home pay that sadly sits with the government. In the example with the $12000 refund, that's an extra $1000 per month that could prevent folks from going broke.See question

First you need to see if there is a probation warrant. Get your court file at the courthouse and see if there is a warrant in the court file. Even if the time runs out it's unlikely a probation officer will file a motion for discharge under the first offender act if they haven't seen you and, I'll assume, you paid no fines or did any drug treatment program.See question

I have worked both sides of this coin and the best way to bust up a Chapter 13 is to find undisclosed assets. Unfortunately for you this tactic is most successfully employed where the debtor and creditor have had a personal relationship (former marriage, former employer) where the creditor actually knows about undisclosed assets. You have other remedies in the Code that require you aggressively pay a creditors rights attorney to handle this for you. Bankruptcy court for creditors is lawyer driven and for good reason.See question
