I am a small landlord. Recently I was involved in a security deposit case with a tenant. The Magistrate judge was not familiar with the state law on rental deposit. During the hearing, he was influenced and coached by the tenant lawyer and ruled in favor to the tenant. I was penalized to pay 3X deposit, court fee and tenant's attorney fees. I contacted several domain-expert lawyers for help. Some of them told me that the court judgment was correct and they could not do anything for me, and some of them would not take my case unless I pay them a huge fee in advance. When I called Paula, she showed me the years of experience in the field and deep understanding of the subject matter. She told me I had a case and she could help me appeal. We just had a state court hearing two days ago. I have to tell you how wonderful to have her on my side. Her conviction, passion and firmness were unparalleled. Her professionalism, attention to detail, strategy and explicit arguments are truly impressive. I am happy about the final outcome. When in doubt ask Paula McGill.

I hired Ms. McGill for a landlord-tenant issue ( I was the tenant). I was very pleased with her overall knowledge and plan of action. She also offered free advice over the phone and subsequently offered a free consultation. She was respectful and did not rush conversation, in order to get all pertinent details. However, after after paying my retainer, no action was taken for nearly one month (this was for an attorney letter and negotiations with a management company). Initially I was told that the letter would be completed in 48 hours (I did not request this timeframe). I heard nothing for a week and a half later. I contacted her again, and she stated that she completes her letters over the weekends and that she would send me a letter to review after the next weekend. Two weekends passed and I heard nothing. I contacted her again and stated that I would like a refund of my retainer, which she agreed to do. When I picked up my retainer, she stated that some people want things done faster than she is able to do them and offered no apology.
I would not recommend against her services, but if choosing her I would recommend setting a firm timeframe or deadline which fits both attorney and client schedules. It is important to let a client know what to expect in a truthful manner. Whatever situation they come to you for is causing them discomfort as well; enough for them to pay for your services. Also if you fail to comply with the timeframe agreed upon, then an apology or explanation would be nice.

Well, I have to say I applaud her work. She gave me a voice amongst people who wouldn't have takened me seriously otherwise.
She made me aware of the trial and negotiating process and all possibilities that could happen. I felt secured trusting her advice but she always made sure I was aware of being able to make my own choice. She took care of me and made sure I got my fair share. Truly magnificent service.

We had the pleasure of having Ms. McGill represent our family. We were new to Georgia and had found a home to rent thinking that we made the right choice for our family in choosing and going with this particular rental company. What a major mistake that was, but thankfully Ms. McGill with her honest, knowledgeable, and just overall kindness and understanding was able to get us out of our lease without any incidents and with our full deposit back. We were so glad to find such a trustworthy lawyer as Ms.McGill and would definitely obtain her services again.

Ms. McGill is such an unprofessional Attorney and I would never recommend anyone to use her. I fired her from representing me because what you discuss when you meet is not what she does when she's on her own. She's only professional when it's time to get paid and after that you will have to chase her to get feedback regarding your case.
