Keep on looking for someone else and DO NOT hire this guy
I feel like he has lied to me in order to get me to sign the contract. He even said "this will be a piece of cake the judge is my mothers best friend and I know him pretty well." Anyway, he explained to me what the situation would look like going to pre trial and what it would be if we were to go to...
Thank you for your comment. I feel that it is necessary to point out some important facts in your case that you neglected to mention in your comment section. The contract you signed stated under section 3 that we, my firm, were not making any promises in the outcome of your case. In fact, at no time did I ever make you any promises as to what would happen with your case. The most important portion of your case came at your license suspension hearing. When we attended your license suspension hearing, the officer that arrested you wanted to suspend your driving privileges. This would have resulted in a 12 month HARD SUSPENSION of your license meaning you would not have any type of limited permit for work, school, etc. You told me you had to have your driver's license due to family concerns, and this was the most important aspect of the case to you. The arresting officer wanted to suspend your license regardless of what we were going to do with the case due to your aggressive and uncooperative behavior that night. In fact, the officer wasn't even interested in working anything out with you regarding your ability to drive a car in the State of Georgia. It was only after I spoke with the arresting officer that I was able to work out a way for you to keep your license. Which brings us to the key part of your whole case, your license. You informed me several times that you absolutely could not lose your license. Had we set your case down for a trial that officer would have suspended your driving privileges for one year and it would have been a suspension where you would not have been able to get a temporary driving permit. That being said, I would be more than happy to help you withdraw your plea and set your case for trial. My offer of course, no longer stands that I was willing to waive the trial fees. Those fees were set out in section 8.1 of the contract, a section that you also knew about when the contract was signed. I specifically remember telling you, that you had an excellent case for trial, even with the portion where the officer claimed you resisted arrest. In fact, I remember telling you that I would have tried your case without the trial fee but you had to be willing to lose your license since the officer would have suspended your driving privileges if we went to trial.
