About me

My undergraduate background in business and work experience with major corporations, prior to entering law school and the legal profession, provide me with a passion for business litigation.  More importantly, these experiences, combined with a legal education heavily focused on business law issues, give me a unique perspective on and approach to handling business matters ranging from contract reviews and critiques and negotiation of contract terms to effectively handling disputes between business partners.  Since entering the legal profession, I have been involved with: the negotiation of a franchise agreement with a highly reputable national hair salon; addressing disputes between members of an LLC that was in the process of dissolution; successfully litigating a contract dispute stemming from the violation of a complex franchise agreement; successfully defending against a suit stemming from the sale of two LLCs; and successfully defending against a suit alleging violations of the Georgia Uniform Deceptive Trade Practices Act, the Georgia Fair Business Practices Act, and alleging the improper use of a trade name.

Additionally, I have been involved with the successful resolution of numerous claims against metro-Atlanta municipal and county entities, due to civil rights violations by members of those entities' police departments.
