I've had Sara handle a couple of my court cases now and both with very positive results. I hired her for a Cobb county DUI in which I was CLEARLY guilty, and she worked to help get the sentence reduced. She did all of the leg work while I was on a job in VA! She would call weekly or bi-weekly and let me know what was happening with my case. I ended up getting the minimum sentence, with approval from the judge to receive a work permit, and was immediately able to go back to work.
The latest case I had Ms Gheesling work for me on was in Bartow county (over an hour from her office) and was being charged with a felony driving while licence suspended. She did TONS of research and found information that technically didn't allow the state to charge me with a felony... got my sentence reduced to a misdemeanor, AND helped me plea nolo so that it didn't count additional time against my license suspension. I got the minimum fines, and she even helped me get non-reporting probation.
Killer attorney! I only wish I would have hired her for the case before last!!!! She's an amazingly talented young attorney, whom is an absolute Bulldog in court! A real pleasure to have worked with! A+++ Will DEFINITELY be calling her again if future needs arise!

My experience with Ms. Gheesling starts almost a year ago. In a not very comfortable situation. I had got a DUI and refused to blow or take a blood test. For those who don't know you go to ALS court where they automatically take your licence away for not blowing or doing a chemical test for a dui stop., No attorney, but I did have a case. My friend had got a DUI before me after me and hired Sara and I just happened to be the luckiest man alive and she he happened to be at the ALS on a separate client and my friend actually came with me to my ALS case.. She helped me at least extend the date, by talking to the judge free of charge. That was crutial as I WOULD HAVE AUTOMATICALLY LOST MY LICENCE FOR A YEAR no if and or buts. Well later I decided to hire Ms. Gheesling and from the very start she was straight forward and open about the procedures and the likely outcome. The second ALS the officer didn't show and this was huge. Then we got the video. By no means perfect but more than enough to believe that we might just be able to beat this thing. Time went on and and court date after court date the ball started rolling. It took a great deal of effort and time but eventually we got it to a jury trial. Our defense was very strong and we even went through a large portion of the trial almost to the end. Then the Prosecution offered me a deal I couldn't say no to, although I would have loved to just to see how this whole thing would had ended but I digress. Even with a very strong defense you are still at the mercy of the jury and its not like I had a home run case, it did have its flaws but as mentioned, strong. I sit here typing this after court in which the bond that was paid will cover all the costs of the plea, I keep my license. Hell I didn't even get any points on my driving record (nolo). I think its also very important to mention Sara did not make me take this plea and was very supportive of either root I would have taken and I always felt like I had the upper hand in trial. Shes very real, understanding, practical, witty, and slightly fierce. Everything you'd want to see in an online dating profile. But shes a lawyer!! So what are you doing, give her a call, she might just be your lifesaver like she helped mine!

I got a DUI in Loganville, GA. This was my first DUI and I was terrified. I did not know what to do and I could not have this on my record. I was referred to Sara by a friend at work. He said that she was "The best DUI attorney ever." I read Saras reviews and I immediately called her. She lets you set up payment plans so I was very happy about that. We spoke about everything and I started paying her $300 weekly until I paid the full $2665 off before my court date. The day before my court date she called me and said that there really was nothing she could do for my case. I wish I would've known that from the beginning or I wouldn't have hired her. But of course she didn't tell me that when I hired her. We met at court the next morning. First of all, Sara was late. I had to call her to make sure she that she was still coming. When she finally showed up she didn't even remember what I looked like, and she had to call my name in front of everyone to remember who I was. She then stated that she would ask to have the charges reduced to wreckless driving (which I still to this day do not believe she did). She pulled me aside literally minutes before we went in front of the judge and said that she couldn't do ANYTHING for my case. There was nothing I could do at that point. We went upstairs to the courtroom where everyone (without lawyers) were making deals & having charges dropped and reduced left and right. I looked at Sara & whispered "Why are they dropping charges for these people but they won't atleast reduce my DUI?" She stated, "Because marijuana charges aren't that big of a deal." Excuse me, what?? We went in front of the judge, she barely spoke to the judge at all. I asked her to ask the judge if I could atleast be on non-reporting probation since Loganville was so far from my house. She barely did that for me. I actually had to nudge her when the judge asked if we had any further questions. I know for a fact that I would have been better off representing myself. I got the maximum penalty for a DUI. I spent more on a lawyer than I did on the DUI. When we went downstairs to sign more papers, the employees of the court told me that I could not drive off by myself or I would automatically be arrested. I needed to get a ride to the DMV to obtain my driving permit before I could drive anywhere by myself. Sara said "As a courtesy I will drive you to the DMV since you have nobody else, but honestly if they are busy I do not feel like waiting for you so you will need to take an uber back." I could not believe my ears. I was about an hour from home so I had nobody else. Thankfully the DMV was dead and she actually waited for me. (The DMV was minutes from the court by the way).
This was probably the worst expierience I have ever had. I was very disappointed. I still to this day cannot believe how everything panned out.

Sara was recommended by a friend of mine and I couldn't be happier with the whole experience. Sara was always available if I had questions and would reply promptly. She was level headed and honest through the whole ordeal. She was the highlight of an otherwise awful experience.

You would be lucky to have Sara Gheesling be your lawyer. Sara was professional, knowledgable, dedicated, caring, and patient as she expertly navigated me through the legal process. Beyond helping me understand the legal jargon, Sara treated me as an individual case, at every step explained the options clearly, often multiple times until I got it, and when I asked, she would give her sincere, honest opinion. I truly felt guided and protected having Sara by my side.
There is a particular officer in Cherokee county who is well known for racking up the DUI numbers. I don't know if it was for career advancement or if it was a personal mission of his to make the roads safer, but he is relentless. This officer told me directly after a court session that Sara is the hardest working lawyer he has ever known, and if any one of his family or friends ever needs a lawyer, he would recommend her. I cannot over state how significantly this speaks to Sara's character and excellence as a lawyer.
I am a single, professional, female in my 40's. Through providence I found Sara, and I would highly recommend her to anyone in any age bracket. I am willing to give a personal reference for Sara. She can provide you my phone number.

In February 2013, I was in a very bad car accident, for which I was at fault. I was badly injured (third degree burns and broken ribs). I was not only charged at fault for the accident, but since I had prescriptions on me that could cause a DUI (clonazepam), I was taken from the hospital and sent straight to jail, before my injuries were even fully assessed. Unfortunately, I also had on my person a substance that I had legally obtained from a retail establishment, that the county declared a synthetic cannabinoid. The synthetic cannabinoid was a felony charge.
This case was extremely stressful for me. I could not afford to lose my license, nor could I afford a misdemeanor, let alone a felony. I knew I needed a lawyer, and with so many options to choose from, I was very overwhelmed and extremely frightening. Fortunately, a friend recommended Ms. Gheesling and it was the best decision I have ever made. Ms. Gheesling fought relentlessly with Hall County, which took over two years of extremely diligent wok with the prosecutor, along with attending countless court appearances on my behalf. They acknowledged that my blood test results were clean and that the substance was not illegal until after my arrest, but they spent 2 years telling us that they would take us to court regardless, and that we would have to appeal.
And then, one day I got a call that gave me my life back – Ms. Gheesling had gotten not one, but both charges completely dropped! If I had not been for Ms. Gheesling, these results would not have occurred. The county in which I was arrested was very disorganized, over-crowded, over-booked, and has a reputation for strict sentencing. I have absolutely no doubt in my mind that these charges would not have been dropped had it not been for over two years of her work on this.
In addition to all of her hard work on my case, she talked to me whenever I needed. I found her compassion to be second to none. On countless occasions, she returned my calls to find me in absolute tears or panic, and through both her knowledge and empathy was able to keep me focused on the future. I will never think of enough words to thank her for what she has done for my life, but I will probably spend my lifetime trying.

I attained Sara as a referral, and glad of it! I was stopped for speeding, but along with a speeding ticket was also charged with dui less safe and criminal trespass. First/worst experience of my life. With Sara's determination and belief in me I was able to walk away free (not guilty) from a dui less safe charge, thrown out criminal trespass charge and a suspended speeding ticket. Along with being blessed; the tremendous experience, knowledge, determination, and fighting for what's right "Sara" I made it.. Someone who will be with with you through thick and thin someone I'd consider my Friend.. Don't let the shy look fool ya...*Payment arrangements, trustworthy, experienced..Thanks again Sara

Ms. Gheesling took my DUI case which I thought had no chance and almost got it completely dismissed. She is easy to work with, extremely knowledgeable, very meticulously and diligent. The end result was a drastic reduction of penalties! Her services easily payed for themselves. I can't thank her enough or recommend her more highly.

In August 2013 I found myself with a DUI. I did not know the first thing about how to even approach this situation, but I did know that my job depended on me not having a DUI on my record. I began to search for a lawyer not fully knowing exactly what to look for. After a full day of searching I had a list of names to call. Most of the people I spoke with treated me as another client and money making opportunity.
When I finally got to Sara, I felt relieived to hear someone who genuiely sounded concerned for my problem. She immediately told me her opinions on what I could do and told me she would work with me on my payments. I let myself think ovrernight on all that I had heard that day, but I was pretty sure Sara was the right choice. I am so glad that I decided on her as my lawyer. during our first meeting she insured me that I should let her do the worrying and I should trust her. She had this confidence that at the time I could not have. She worked very hard on my case and kept me informed on all that was going on. After all was said and done she not only got my charge reduced but utilmately allowed me to be in control of my own fate only providing support and an informed opinion on what I should do.
I can not assure the same outcome for everyone, but she was able to get me exactly what I asked for when we first met and I will be forever grateful for her and all of her work on my case. Sara Gheesling is an amazing lawyer and person. If you are looking for a lawyer to approach your situation as an individual and not just another job, I strongly suggest you give her a chance!
