I paid Ms. Workman 1300.00 as her reduced fee to represent me in renegotiating a severance package. Prior to paying her, she was very responsive, after it was very difficult to reach her. This started in February 2020 and still to date I do not have my letter and she refuses to refund my money. I am in the process of filing a Bar complaint against her. She continued to have excuses after excuses from I fell and hurt my ankle. I had to have back surgery. She emailed me several times to say she would have the letter soon but never produced the letter. I now have to get another attorney and possibly sue her.

After a phone consultation with Ms. Workman I paid her fee to represent me in a breach of contract suit against my former employer. She was to produce a contract for service in addition to a letter to my former employer requesting damages to be paid to me. It has been two months since I first reached out to Ms. Workman and one month since Ms. Workman received my payment of her fee. Since that time she has failed to produce either document despite telling me on no less than five occasions that she would have them prepared for my review by a specific date. In addition, Ms. Workman has missed scheduled telephonic meetings and has failed to return my calls and emails. Given the many positive reviews and her initial demeanor I was very surprised at Ms. Workman’s lack of responsiveness to my inquiries and failure to deliver as promised on multiple occasions. I wish that I had read all of her reviews before I paid her retainer because I would have seen the one star rating from a few years ago. Apparently she has demonstrated the same unprofessional behavior in the past and perhaps her license suspension was related to that??? Is history repeating itself? That is for the Bar Association to determine. I know that I should have chosen differently. Now, in addition to seeking restitution from my former employer I will be filing against Ms. Workman in small claims court. DON’T make the same mistake I did. STAY FAR AWAY from this attorney!

I was referred to Ms. Workman by another labor attorney. After meeting with Ms. Workman and she collected retainer check(cash same day) I had a deadline to respond to former employer when she called my former employer and asked for extension. She never called back and never informed me she had a respone from former company attorney. I sent her a letter terminating her services and requesting statement for current charges. She did not reply. I retained another law firm and at this time discovered the former company attorney had replied to her letter with a deadline for me to accept agreement, I missed the deadline. I went to small claims court to collect retainer monies less time spent in meeting and writing letter. Workman never showed up in court and
I won judgement plus new attorneys fees.
