Mr. Lawson is an amazing attorney! About a year ago I found myself facing a DUI charge and felt that my freedom in society was dwindling. My poor decisions had landed me in trouble with the law in Forsyth, Ga and stupidly I had waited to the last day to hire an attorney. I spoke with one attorney pri...or to Mr. Lawson and that other lawyer almost seemed incompetent after the first few seconds on the phone Lawson. After hiring Mr. Lawson, I felt relieved knowing I had a doctor of law on my side. He would later have the case reduced to reckless driving which was a great relief to have that potential DUI wiped away. This past May I was involved in a motor vehicle accident and after the fact I panicked. Stupidly I left the scene of the accident and the law soon caught up with me. I felt I was facing jail time when I literally had the Dunwoody police knocking at my door. I would discover that I was facing 6 very serious charges that would have caused my license to be revoked. I got Mr. Lawson on the phone and the first thing he did was assure me mistakes are made and can be learned from. Richard worked with the police directly prior to court and got them not to arrest me prior to trial. (Most people would get arrested with what I was facing) Mr. Lawson resolved this beyond any outcome I could of predicted, and the case was closed with me paying a couple fines. No probation, no classes, no lasting record to be embarrassed about. I highly recommend Mr. Richard Lawson, I don't know where I would be today without him!

I was DUI and Hit & Run charges and was pretty sure my life was over. I new I needed a big hitter to help me out. My livelihood and even freedom were at stake. I work in digital marketing and I am actually leery of reviews that are too positive - but after talking to Richard (and some other attor...ney friends), I felt like he was the best I could get. Unbelievable outcome. This was my 2d DUI over a span of years and Richard personally got it reduced to reckless driving. No loss of driving privilege. Not one single day! Richard represented my son, who was facing his third DUI in Georgia in five years, plus a fourth DUI charge pending in another state. It was critical to knock out the Georgia DUI charge before turning to face the out-of-state charge. The prosecutor was initially firm in rejecting any deal that woul...d reduce the charge from a DUI, especially given my son's history. Richard was persistent, repeatedly pressing the prosecutor over a period of time with expert evidence (involving marijuana metabolites, which were at issue in the case, and the proper inferences from the field sobriety tests administered by the arresting officer) and otherwise demonstrating a willingness and ability to take the case to trial. The DUI was ultimately dropped to a reckless driving charge. My son did receive meaningful jail time, but I can't imagine anyone else getting a better result under the circumstances. I would have no reservations in recommending Richard to anyone facing a DUI.
